I’m impressed

 

As a PC gamer, if I'm ever at a mall with a Gamestop I only go in for a bit just to see if they have any cool merch; they usually have nice figurines but I don't collect those so idk. I've only ever lined up for one thing and that was for Still Jealous by Tegan and Sara on Record Store Day, and I got there in the afternoon so it hardly counts (and yeah whatever Taylor release it was had already run out by then haha).

 

I spent a few years working at my buddies local game store when I got out of high school and I still have vivid memories of the smell that place had during the Skyrim midnight release.

MW2 is fun. Played a few matches

 

I’m most excited to replay the Spec Ops

 

imagine going to a midnight release of the game just to get it then take it home and having to wait for like the 100 gb to download

when i was a hs kid the gamestop cashiers totes bullied me into pre ordering some games at checkout. once i canceled a pre order and they lectured / guilt tripped me that it was bad for their business.

 

That was their whole thing. Strong arming children into pre orders lol

 

welcome to camping for wow expansions back in the cd days lol. 3-4 disc install when you got home. Still camped out with my guildies though

 

I go to GameStop for Pokémon cards and used switch and Xbox games lol

my real gamer hours story is my mom buying me gta San Andreas when I was like idk 15 I think and the game stop employee even told her it’s for mature audience and she was like yeah he’s cool with it

and then I ended up letting a friend borrow it and their mom found it and broke the game

I remember renting Pimp My Ride on PS2 from a Movie Gallery and hated it and when I told my dad he said “let’s just go back and tell them it didn’t work”

 

Resisting to urge to buy COD, but want to wait for reviews. Been wanting a new shooter as Apex is getting stale even though a new map is coming out next week.

 

I witnessed something similar with Gears of War.
