oh wow, I definitely remembered him as being an older man, like 40s/50s, for some reason. Maybe it’s the way he’s described in the book in how he “awes” and intimidates some of the other characters in the book that are also young men. Interesting.

Ehh I kinda get why people would be upset with the change. I’m not a big fan

Holy fucking shit that scene. Vhagar is so fucking massive.
Suuuuper interesting choice to not have the killing be intentional. No doubt Aemond was also told by Alicent no fighting/war. But as soon as Luke lost control of Arrax (this just autocorrected to Artax lol) and he blasted Vhagar in the face, that was it. Having Aemond suddenly scream no no because he knew he was about lose control of Vhagar…just so good. And that kill…good lord. Poor Arrax :tear:

And the shots my god…Vhagar flying over them in the clouds, coming straight at them, etc. Just so cool and again I can’t get over how massive Vhagar is.

    Fuck yeah Vermithor!

  11. The change at the end could open up some pretty big changes down the line if they choose to go down that path

tbf, we don’t actually know if he meant to kill him. Only that he wanted to fight in Storms End and that he eventually does kill him. There is of course no way of knowing for sure because only two people were up in that sky.

but it is strongly implied in the book that he wanted to kill him, not just take his eye.

Aemond in the book is a fantastic villain, but he's also fairly one-dimensional. The reason why I like this now they've built a foundation where they can do 3 more seasons of character development to evolve him further to what he becomes in the book. Season 2 I bet is going to be all about him doubling down on what he did in public to save face and that gradually leading him down a path...

They kind of did the same thing with Alicent this season vs how she is in the book. Having some of these characters come out the gate 100% horrible just isn't compelling TV.

  16. I like that they allowed the viewers to understand that the blacks have “more” dragons but end it with showing the absolute monster (that now does not give a fuck what it’s rider says) that the greens have at its disposal

I've been arguing with morons on Twitter who are screaming about "DRAGONS HAVING THEIR OWN AGENCY ISN'T CANON!!" for the past two days now lol

If you've read the Jaehaerys parts of F&B then you'll know that Dragons doing what the fuck they want actually is canon btw.

  19. I like the change. You think that old mother fucker cares what a dude with one eye says?

Getting mad because they did not follow the exact set up as the book is really a stupid argument. Particularly in the case of this book where its multiple narrators telling their own version what they believe happened. It is one of the biggest implications of the book itself is that aspect of it.

  21. Episode 1 of S2 will definitely start or end with blood and cheese right?

People have also been pissed about the Daemon choking scene the past couple days too.

that would be my assumption. That we either end episode one with it happening OR end with the plot being made and then the deed gets done in episode 2.

  24. Twitter when they realize Daemon isn’t a very good person and this show isn’t what they thought

I mean…pissed because they liked him and didn’t like seeing their hero also be an abusive prick? Haha…like I’ve thought Daemon was been awesome this season but he’s clearly a bit touched/unhinged, him reacting out of pure anger and having no self control shouldnt be a shock at this point.
