Karma is way better than everyone’s saying it is

 

I really like the beat and music of karma. I really dislike the lyrics of karma.

 

Excited to listen to this tomorrow but just had to pop in while the folklore conversation is happening to say it falls into the extremely rare category of “perfect album” for me, where every song is top-notch and necessary. Agree that the run starting with my tears ricochet is the highlight, but there really is no “lowlight” on that record for me

 

I’m very curious how this will grow on me. My initial impression is that it’s good, but only a couple songs really made an impression on first listen. I think this will really open up on subsequent spins.

 

Everything but Vigilante Shit is good, this is the first album of hers I enjoy pretty much front to back. I only like 8 songs of hers across the rest of her discography, for reference.

I do now wonder if the 3am est is the tour announcement but it would be really weird to drop a tour announcement when 95% of the country and her fan base is sleeping

also, is it just me or does the music always sound flat when antinoff produces. Something about it always irks me. Hearing it on this and the latest 1975 album.
