When Notes came out, bundles still counted and records were counted before they shipped. The new album has vinyl ready so that shouldn’t change much but it has its effects on the industry for sure. Look at Taylor Swift’s last 2 albums, Folklore and Evermore. The latter sold half as much because it came after the rule change.

 

I’m gonna take a stab later at using the Melodyne polyphonic alg to remove the talking. Can’t promise anything but it’s worked well for similar things in the past so if it goes well I’ll post it in here

 

That’s right, I’m remembering that now. That’ll definitely do it.

 

Loving this podcast, though. This album sounded totally different at the start.

 

Matty’s lower register singing on this album is some of his best vocal melodies ever hope he does even more in the future

I tend to listen to all of the band but I am built different

 

I love that extended second half of the intro track. also cool to hear that “This Feeling” will be on a future record

 

Bundles still count, they just need to be shipped on time. I got my vinyl on release day, that change is not the reason for the dip.

I'm going to guess that having half as many tracks isn't helping its streaming numbers.

I like Human Too. In fact, I like it more than a couple songs that have been getting talked up a lot in here :x

 

It’s funny how I had no reference for Aperol Spritz like 3 months ago and in succession I’m in Poland drinking one in the mountains, Florence Pugh is trending at Cannes and now the 1975 are dropping a reference in the first minute of the new record. Life is weird.

just realized I'll be going to the first date of the tour at Mohegan. I'll try to keep track of what they play and snap a picture of the merch

 

I have to switch dates because of work so now I'm in Ticketmaster hell

 

I slept on getting tickets to their show here and now im kicking myself. dont really want to spend the money on what theyre going for after lighting as much money on fire as I did for blink tickets last week.
