I'm very surprised that Glass Onion is getting some praise over Knives Out solely due to the reason that I find Knives Out to be amazing.

Releasing a movie theatrically first before netflix always makes the movie more valuable. On a psychological level, it makes it feel like its actually a real movie and worth checking out if you hadn't seen it yet once it hits the streamer, rather than a lot of the slop that falls into the abyss

Saw this last night at the Chicago Film Festival. I have thoughts that I can't share without spoiling - but let's just say the crowd absolutely loved it. Lots of laughs.

no. neither of those were full nationwide releases though. both were limited releases. this appears to be a full release, though just for a week.

Gonna have to grab tickets soon. There are still plenty of seats available that week and the late showing on the 23rd is almost empty atm.

Yea I think this is going wide for like one week only.

It is odd every time I see the netflix logo in theaters at the start of a movie.

This is the way Netflix should do all their big movies. Let people that really want to see get a chance and then let the word of mouth circulate before it hits streaming.

I'm definitely trying to see/know as little as possible going in. Didn't even watch the teaser because I didn't want to know too much

saw an ad on tiktok and was like "nope skip skip skip"

literally the only thing I know about this movie is that its another Benoit Blanc adventure. I think I read some cast information at some point but don't remember any of it. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I love Knives Out and I’m excited for two more and his detective show, but I do hope he doesn’t just do murder mysteries forever. He’s great at playing with genre so I’d love to see him take on a wider range of material.
