Probably starts late. TBS doesn’t have anything but reruns after Dynamite. Regardless the ratings will be down but that’s normal with being preempted and stiff sport’s competition.

I don't dislike him as much as most around here, and clearly he's a hit with a lot of their fans. I could just do with him taking more time away from the ring to tour or something. I don't want to see him every week in the role he has (wrestling and commentary).

He could always get released as well.

 

Rightly or wrongly Tony seems to value him highly. I can see him making that deal irrespective of rumours. He's also probably one of the few active wrestlers who has a stronger relationship with Vince than HHH.

At some point, it has to happen. AEW is still a business.

 

Also, I think there are more wrestlers are short-term contracts in AEW than WWE. When you consider the number of people who weren't released but left at the end of their deals already.

 

But I wonder now with WWE being a place people want to go again do we still continue to see short term contracts or do they start locking people up again.

 

they got jericho and moxley for 3 more years and allegedly adam cole for 5 more. i can see tony locking down people with long-term ones

They also had a bunch of people on per-appearance deals through the pandemic and beyond. Truthfully, about 50% of Dark/Elevation is people that arent really All Elite anymore.

But yeah, the AEW list is Jimmy Havok, Ivelisse, and Jake Atlas...all release for either domestic violence or being a shithead. And then theres Kylie Rae and Awesome Kong who both asked for their releases and got them. And if you want to get technical, CIMA, Bea Priestley, and one or two others got "released" because they couldnt travel to the US in 2020 and thats all their contract ran
