I'm also one of those people who never really got into Green Day (saw them on Pop Disaster) and has never listened to anything they put out after American Idiot. So refraining from their rankings.

Bored To Death is shaking its head at you

Refreshing to hear Tom with good blink production

 

I love Bored To Death,but Edging hit me at the right time and let’s be honest,even as big Alkaline Trio & Skiba fan,there’s just something about about catchy blink songs with Tom & Mark that no one will be able to capture even with the best songwriting besides those two for me.Plus Tom’s prechorus just gave me a goosebumps and solid TOYPAJ flashback first time I heard it.

 

Wow I was never a big AVA fan, but Lifeforms is actually great and refreshing

 

I don’t like it

 

I do think there are a few songs that are just way too cheesy for me, but Spellbound, Euphoria, Automatic and No More Guns are jams.

 

Automatic is my favorite one. Sounds like “I melt with you” and I love that song.

 

Automatic is the best Tom song in 15 years

Excited to hear that the guys are getting together in Travis's studio to write songs. Can't wait to hear what they've got in store for us :)

No more guns got a lot of hate when that record came out but I've enjoyed it since day 1. More for me I suppose!

 

I don’t get the fascination with Automatic. I think there are far better songs on Lifeforms.

 

Automatic is good but it's middle of the road on Lifeforms imo

 

Tom’s magnum opus.

 

Spellbound is the best.Also loved the video for it.

 

Still can’t believe this is happening.

 

Lifeforms is my least favorite AVA album, but it's still like a 6/10, and the good songs are m GREAT.
