So none of his performances count unless it's against Seattle, Minnesota, or Carolina?

All I heard all week was how the front seven would give him fits (I acknowledge your secondary blows a rotten horse ding-a-ling) but that front seven got worked all day.

 

Weren't you the person who said Washington wasn't good because they only beat bad teams?

 

Scary front seven? Lol outside of shazier Timmons and heyward everyone is pretty average. None of those players are even pass rushers that come off the edge. I mean old man Harrison is okay but he's old and tired. The people who narrate stories like "Pittsburgh and they're scary front 7 will rush blank QB out of his jockstrap" are analysts who dont even watch their games more than a mnf or snf every so often and believe its still the old days.

I would encourage you to read around the past week leading up to the game then because I read and heard it all week.

Yesterday was Wentz's wake up call according to a load of national media pundits.

He is still alive. He's so arrogant, but I don't mind him in small doses. He doesn't talk much Steelers though, as his station airs the Penguins.

I don't mind some of the guys on 93.7 but they air they're mostly consumed by the Pirates... it's weird. I just listened to them talk about the Pirates on my commute home instead of the Steelers who played yesterday.

 

Timmons was sent to the hospital while Harrison and Shazier were limping around the field lol

edit: oh and apparently they've only gotten one sack in three games. It doesn't really matter anymore what the narrative was about them, because we've seen the on the field results. I think they'll get better, and I think they're probably still better than the Bears or Browns D. But that doesn't make them good.

 

Nevermind, thought that was an eagles fan haha. Could've been Aurora.

 

Competent defenses can stifle very good quarterbacks and Wentz is no exception.

How Wentz does against a team like Seattle or Minnesota won't make me think less of him, honestly, barring a Fitzpatrick-level or Hoyer-level meltdown.

 

The Steelers front 7 is good. Heywood is fantastic, Tuitt is getting close to him, Shazier is great and Timmons is solid (and good depth there too). But the big issue is the OLBs which is our primary pass rush. Starting Jones and Moats isn't going to get us much around the edge.

 

Also Wentz apparently spent the entire offseason playing against a top 5 defense.

Fuck off with this nonsense. It's not relevant, the guy is playing great football. Last I checked the Stillers have a pretty good front 7, Wentz wasn't fazed. Oh let's not forget the defense has played a huge part in this team being 3-0. For a team that are labeled as of one of the best in the NFL got destroyed by a team who was picked to be decent.

 

You won't be able to get the first two at this rate. I wouldn't touch Chubb. I would however draft Cook or Perine.
