I’m so annoyed. Sometime between when I got my tickets this morning and me checking right now they opened up good seats for the Spotify presale on the 200 level for night 2 in Chicago

 

Especially as he is singing “there’s a special place in hell”

 

Passed 2 million views on YouTube already

 

And went down to #7 in trending just like that. Maskes no sense.

 

The biggest difference I notice between their old and new songs is the lack of instrumental parts/bridges. It's ok to not sing through the entire song

 

I asked a ways back, regarding ticketmaster and dynamic pricing....

Was any other huge act (Eilish, Styles, etc....) this crazy in pricing for their shows?

 

How are people feeling after a couple of days on it now? Objectively, I've really not gotten the urge to re-listen to it, which says to me its not super good. I've instead found myself just re-listening to lots of other Blink tracks.

 

just remembered everyone celebrating Bored to Death actually having vocals in its bridge when it came out. so this is the first Tom blink song with vocals in the bridge in 19 years heh (unless you wanna count Snake Charmer and a Yelawolf rap)

listened to it a bunch and the chorus has been stuck in my head for days now but i know its mostly just due to the excitement of them being back together. if they didn't release this one as a first single and it was just an album cut instead, i probably wouldn't be listening to it as much in the long run. but its a simple short fun song that should go down well at live shows.

 

I’ve probably hit play on it 15-20 times now. It’s an earworm. Fun track, chorus gets stuck in my head.

 

Looks like we’re getting an alternate version of the video on Monday that will be on the Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel.

 

The more I listen the more I love this.

 

It’s an ear worm. I play it every time I get in my car

 

Because of its simplicity (like BIOMY) I’m shelving it for a bit so I don’t burn it out. Some singles become an auto-skip for me once the whole album comes out.

 

I think the song is pretty bad but I’m happy for Mark—since like 2009 it’s been clear this is the version of blink he wanted back—Mark, Tom, and Travis, back on good terms with each other, fully invested, making fun music, doing big tours. Feels like he’s finally getting what he wants with no caveats, and I’m happy for him.

But man, this song. I understand it as a “we’re back, the music is silly again, Tom is fully invested” choice but I hate that first verse. The production is awful, which is absurd because the last two albums sound fantastic for what they’re going for. Makes me think back to how good “Bored to Death” was a first single for California, I wish this was even half as exciting as that song was

 

It’s so funny how much people are split on the song.
I can’t get enough of it,prechoruses,chorus,bridge and Tom’s random shouting,does it all for me.I wish there was a way how to check on Apple Music how many times I’ve played already but my guess is probably somewhere around 200 plays lol.
I’m like a kid when comes to this band.I see only good things.
On the other hand,my best friend and also huge blink fan absolutely hates it call it the worst blink song ever haha.

 

I like the song, but not in a "blink is back" kind of way. I also wish the production sounded better/different. Oh well.

 

I’m just so in love with Mark’s verse and pre-chorus. Especially that Pre-chorus.

I know there’s a special place in hell that my friends and I know well. There’s a perfect place to go when it’s time to lose control.

 

Tom’s ,,Oh No’s” after second chorus are an absolute essential blink moment for me

 

I would love if they had Skiba on one song where they just pushed themselves to do something dope with all their voices, not worrying about having to pull it off live, just aim for the heights of like the Feeling This outro

 

The “dontcha knows” after the church line kill me. What in the midwestern hell

 

Honestly dude, this post could be about any blink song in the last 20 years lol. People get worked up about this band in every direction.

 

Is it a top 10 blink song? No. Top 30? No. Are there songs on California and Nine that I like more than this one? Absolutely. But is it fun and super catchy? For sure! I’ve listened to it like 15 times. Did it peak my interest and make me excited for what’s to cum? Abso-lutely!

 

I Think Jason Tate said we would be split on the song. So did everyone - lol.

 

the song to me sounds like the worst of the travis barker pet projects from the last 2 years. i'm glad tom is back i suppose, but i feel for mark. california and nine are great and then they go to...this.
