Oh, absolutely correct. The song could be anything and the band will still be cashing these massive checks for the tour.

 

People that don't like Nine like talk about that more than those of us that love it.

 

I need more.

I know they aren't done with the album, but would have been cool to get a tracklist today or estimated release date.

Hoping some interviews drop ASAP.

I thought edging is just about them reflecting on being total dads who still can't/dont want to move away feom their "weird punk kid"-phase and reflecting their troubled history as a band ("i'll leave them broken hearted").

Such a catchy song. Bored to death is better tho.

 

Neighborhoods fucking slaps. Sure, some of the lyrics are a little out there, but that's always been a charming aspect of Blink to me. Same goes for Weezer. It's cringe sometimes, but that's part of the charm.

 

I see zero chance this isn't on the album.

I prefer Nine to California, but definitely acknowledge both have some clunkers. I just think the highs are greater on Nine. Combined it would be one of their best albums.

 

Now I'm really eager for some kind of interview piece. Surprised they weren't on KROQ or something like that to premiere Edging this morning.

The nightmare: In 7 months Tom is bored again and leaves mid tour in Europe. His replacement? Some european with an accent that tries hard to sound like he's from SoCal (i volunteer!)

 

I can think of one guy on youtube who would give their left leg for this exact scenario.

I'm assuming you were at the final show as well, which was where they played all the encore songs in that final set. Such an incredible show and still my number 1 concert. Probably always will be! So happy I lived in SoCal back then. Couldn't have afforded the flights/hotels/etc... had I not lived three hours away ha.

 

I think being a callous heartbreaker, a rebellious punk kid, if you will. Not much deeper than that, but neither is most of blink's catalogue.

 

I’m really loving the new track and so happy and excited these guys are back again

 

Despite feeling very meh on Edging, I too am stoked that Tom is back. I’m sure I’ll enjoy a few songs off the new record regardless.
