For someone in a band sometimes I question your hearing. Have you seen a doctor?

My favorite Skiba era songs on each album:
    California - "Left Alone"
Nine - "No Heart To Speak Of"
Sadly both will never see the light of day live. Especially since Nine didn't really get a chance to get toured properly. The tour they did for Nine happened before the album was even out so that's a bummer.

Edging video is awesome and love that it goes for it.

Nah, not even a little. Nine is painfully bad and if you like that then.. cool… but Neighborhoods (which has some clunkers) has a lot more enjoyable material by far if you ask me.

    Question:

    Bored to Death vs. Edging

Which did better in terms of larger impact, initial catch, and reaction?

Thissss. Nine sounds like 90% of millenial pop punk bands

I might dislike California but I can’t lie - Bored to Death is the stronger track IMO.

  19. Bored To Death blew my mind after being so disheartened by Neighborhoods and DED. BTD was a complete return to form and Tom wasn't there, so it was even more exciting that they were able to pull it off the way they did. Edging is fun as shit, but it didn't even come close to hitting me the same way emotionally as BTD did.

Bored to death. I don’t think this song winds up as big on the radio, and reaction is less positive from what I see

I absolutely think Ticketmaster would capitulate, at least for this tour, if the other option was losing out on a tour as hugely profitable as this one.

I’ll say that No Heart To Speak Of is a solid track off Nine… too bad most of the record isn’t as solid

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bored To Death didn’t touch this $$$ though. Doesn’t really matter what Edging does honestly.

Bored to Death solidified they were going to be just fine with Skiba (I wasn't skeptical personally). I couldn't escape the track even after its initial release. Heavy radio play and promo. Still thoroughly enjoy the song.

Edging does something similar where this reunion comes off as genuine. That's a different kind of reassurance. Give it a few more weeks and I may have a definitive answer.

Both songs have a mission statement and execute in spades. Right now I'm leaning towards Edging but want to see how things play out as Winter comes.
