Which album will have more songs about their dicks? Blink 182 or the 1975?

 

Yeah it makes total sense why Edging is the first single. It’s for the crowd that thinks ATST is their best song.

Today I am spinning Edging in between The 1975 and RHCP albums. It's a really nice comeback song and I like it more and more.

 

Really worried about Skiba. Friend at a label was texting me last night. Said people are worried about him, how he was gutted about getting the boot and not happy about any of it. :(

 

All this Blink news made me forget about TEN album coming out.

 

The more I listen to this, the more I'm seeing the similarities to BIOMY as a single. It's extremely simple instrumentally and it really doesn't deviate much from section to section (this is the key point). The song as a whole completely relies on endearing lyrics during the verses and an incredibly catchy hook during the chorus. Basically, it's fun vocally but there's not much else there to sink your teeth into instrumentally so I can see how people have mixed feelings about it, just like BIOMY.

But that said, I've had a lot more fun with this one than BIOMY. Also just hearing Tom and Mark together again is something that you can't help but to get pumped about.

 

I 100% wouldn't be shocked if he was never told by anyone, and was just ghosted.

 

I somehow find that hard to believe honestly

 

100% agree with this ranking and the fact that Darkside is one of their best songs post-reunion

 

Nine wasn't even finished when they released Blame it On My Youth. That album had a terrible rollout. It's a shame since it's really good.

If this Skiba stuff is true it's a bummer. My favourite version of this would definelty be with the four of them involved.

 

He probably always knew it would happen eventually, but this seems to be in the middle of making a third record together. I wouldn't feel good about it either.

 

Ok I usually hate reaction videos, but if Fred's doing it then I gotta watch.

 

This chorus has been stuck in my head since yesterday, and I do think the bridge is really great and shows that they still know how to utilize each other. Like others, this is FAR from my favorite Blink track, but it’s fun and hasn’t at all hampered my excitement about their return. I hope it does well for them.

 

As far as recent lead singles I'd rank as Bored to Death > Edging > Up All Night > BIOMY

There's no denying BTD was a massive song. UAN is fine, but it bothers me that there's no bridge. Honestly, there's no chorus either lol. It sounds like a pre chorus that builds up to nothing.

 

I think Edging is a fun track but I think the only first single that I like less is Boxing Day (alt ought I love the chorus on that one, just can't stand Tom's verses).

 

Just to confirm my thoughts of how this reunion tour is getting massive appeal across the board, one of my longest friends texted me asking me if I was going. After talking to him, he didn't even realize they were still touring without Tom the last few years lol

 

I remember really liking it when it was released and then the second the Smash Mouth comparison came up I literally could not listen to it again.

 

I don't understand why so many people have this take. Why do people think this little of Mark all of a sudden?

 

Matt has stated in multiple interviews that he knew he was just keeping the seat warm for when Tom comes back and that he expected Tom would eventually come back.

 

i'm sure i'm in the minority but i didn't like edging at all. very boring.
