The “woman you are 64 years old” line has made me laugh every time. Just a brilliantly delivered classic Matty line

Fantastic album. My top three songs after two listens:

    Oh Caroline
    About You
    I'm in Love With You

Not fully through this yet, but it's instantly connecting with me a lot more than Notes.

Yep, this really delivers. Every song sounds so full, and very much signature 1975. Doesn't break new ground for them as much as just maxes out their style. I don't personally hear Antonoff's touch on this all that much, where I do hear it I could honestly only tell from already knowing he's involved and actively looking for it. That's my complaint with him usually, his influence is too obvious, but on here I'm not feeling that's the case.

It’s so funny to me to see people say that. I personally think this a VERY Antonoffified album. I’m like 95% certain I would have picked up on it if I hadn’t already known he worked on this, but who knows.

    Got a light?

Man everytime the closer gets on I get too emotional, what a way to close this out (might make a variation of this post several times)

Second full listen through - this is truly unbelievable. Like, I didn't know they could maybe top all their previous work. Too early to say, but this is right up there with ILIWYS.

I like Antonoff, but I do think the album doesn't deviate much from what The 1975 already are. The subheading from the pitchfork review "It’s cliché, it’s obvious, it’s slyly profound—it’s the 1975." fits it well.

Looking For Somebody (To Love) is such a fun listen oh my god. Still digesting this record. All hits, no skips.

I’d like to listen to this on a cloudy fall drive but another rainy drive it is, at least this one will be while light out lol

We reach for the longest shadow

Really good so far, and quite the refinement after opening the last album with a Greta Thunberg speech. I listened to it a couple times before the album came out, but I'm In Love With You is everything I want from this band.
