I get that there's some extra stuff (the box itself, an exclusive variant, a pin, and a poster), but if each EP is going to be $25, I'm not spending $180 for the set when I could buy them individually for $125. I don't blame anyone who goes the route of the box though, of course. Just my personal choice.

 

I just bought the stand alone Starting Line EP. Don’t need no extra box to clog up my shelf.

 

You can use shop pay so I just split it into 4 payments of $51.

 

Did the shop pay split thing. Paying extra to secure the EPs and I don't have to worry about doing this every month

 

Unfortunately I'm in Canada and CDN credit cards don't apply.

I pulled the trigger. I'll take my chances. Drive Thru is the one label I could really buy almost all their back catalogue, as I did with their cd's in the early 00's.

 

I don’t know if I can justify almost 200 bucks for 5 EPs. I’m struggling though bc the other half of me wants it so bad for nostalgia haha

 

why did they re-record the whole album?

 

I'm gonna pass and grab whatever EPs strike me at the time. $180 is a little steep for my liking.

Edit: There's only 2-3 more EPs I would like to have in my collection so it'll still be cheaper than the box set.

 

They're playing it front to back on tour right now. Assuming it's because the 10 year anniversary was during the early part of the pandemic

they did a post about it on their insta. they didn’t have rights to it anymore and wanted to re-press it so they re-recorded it and “took back control of it”

These Drive-Thru releases are coming at time when I want to spend less on vinyl lol. But I’m gonna buy them though

There’s so many timed things this week. Blink tickets. Lights and sound. This. Oof. All during work hours.

 

There’s a European pressing of the original recording available right now. ~$40 shipped to the US. I’d rather pay an extra $10 for the original recording.

 

Looking at Discogs - I wonder how pissed the person is that spent $75 on With Hopes Of Starting Over just two weeks ago

 

would have been me if not for the teasing from DTR.

 

I have BOATS in my cart on Discogs for $125 but I’m waiting to see if it’s included in this. I also just don’t want to spend that much on a single vinyl lol

 

This set is only EP’s. No full lengths.
Plus I don’t think DTR was originally part of the release.

edit: full lengths should be coming. But I’m sure they will focus on stuff they released over stuff that was sent to Geffen. But you never know.

 

Yeah, meant in general and not this EP release. Didn’t know how it would work between Drive-Thru and Geffen

 

Yeah Geffen released it. Same With NFG "Catalyst", though I'm pretty sure the DTR logo was on both
