For real. It’s such a dangerous precedent.

I’m actually quite shocked how far it’s been allowed to go so far. I assume there’s an element of the pandemic making labels, artists, think it’s justified to enable such shameless gouging by TM.

Can see it being on the EA NHL playlist. Ironically Feeling This was a Madden track (Called Action at the time, right?)

I was thinking something similar. Wondering if the song will be used tonight as commercial break music for the TNF NFL game on Amazon Prime. Definitely can hear this on sporting event tv rejoin music.

It’s been fun to just enjoy the ride on this one. lining up with a big personal transition for me and I am sure this song will always put me back here.

I generally don’t go to arena venues or super big shows anyway, so personally it doesn’t impact me. I buy most tickets via Dice which sells at face value and without fees. I thought the emergence of them would work it’s way slowly to the top leagues, but this all seems to have put a stop to that hope.

I wonder if we'll get a Jimmy Kimmel or Tonight Show performance soon.

Also with their AC festival on sunday 5/28, I wonder if they'll be able to snag that SNL finale slot. Come on boys lets go big or go home!

Does anyone ever get to the front of the queue right off the bat on these 2000+ things? Wild.

To be fair, it was already pretty terrible before the merger as Ticketmaster usually had the contracts for Live Nation venues.

    Support your independent venues.

Wasn't it Pearl Jam that did that in the 90s?

Pearl Jam was big about avoiding Ticketmaster in the 90s. Bright Eyes used to as well.

  15. I've seen people on there complaining that this song is still "too overproduced."

I also saw one ding-dong say "California and Nine sounds like 20 people co-wrote it, this one finally sounds like it was just the 3 of them that wrote it!" and I was like "you're only saying that because you KNOW that those albums had co-writers... you can't listen to a song like 'pin the grenade' and say 'oh yeah, you can tell that this song had almost ten writers on it' if you didn't already know that!" haha.

I'm already at that point. £80+ is too much for a gig. Actually had no idea dynamic pricing was a thing for gigs, but if it ever becomes widespread over here, I would just stop going. I paid £17 to see Pup last night and can guarantee I had more fun than I would have seeing literally any band in an arena. There is no way on earth any gig is worth £250+ to me.

Can't wait until a year from now when all of the "Bring back Matt" threads start popping up.

But in all seriousness, I agree. haha. I'm going into everything blink-related with an open mind, just trying to enjoy it all.

I'm also just worn out seeing all of the discourse over the years lol. Neighborhoods comes out, people are let down. New album never even happens. Matt joins blink and produces two good/great albums, people are let down - saying "Bring back Tom!" as if they forgot what Neighborhoods was like. Tom comes back, they are still let down. Just miserable lol.

Feel like the vast majority of people don't actually know what overproduced means, the term is thrown around way too much these days.

I'll pay up to $150 depending on the act and seats but generally opt out once it's that expensive. I balk when it's $100 after fees (2 tickets) for Alexisonfire at an independent venue.

It's an earworm, for sure. Lyrically, pretty meh, but the melodies are quite infectious. Tom sounds pretty good, Mark sounds a little "overproduced" but still good, and his backing vocals especially are on point.

song is not great. kind of a weird choice for the first song back with Tom. I’ll wait to judge until we hear the rest of the album.
