    Things have changed.

And this time it's mostly Mark's vocal.

It’s a fun song and it will be fun live but it’s probably their weakest first single in a while.

hopefully the album has more interesting stuff in it. Also, those cymbals aren’t great.

still, it’s catchy and I will rock it for sure

edit: after California and Nine I also wish for less split vocals. They should still do it of course but some Mark and Tom only songs too.

    Fun song, love that bridge.

Still not sure why it's called Edging though lol

Also last night I had multiple dreams about buying tickets to this tour lol

I'm not gonna be calm until I have that order confirmation in my email.

The background Shit! from Tom is a nice little touch haha

Fun, simple, what you would expect for the lead single for a reunion tour. Tom’s “shit!” was a nice little cherry on top.

Not great, not bad. I prefer every song in Neighborhoods, Dogs Eating Dogs and probably Nine (not sure because I dislike the chorus of "Darkside") to it. On the other hand, it's not awful like "Parking Lot" and some of the most forced "nanana" or formulaic parts of California.

Could use a bit more build-up in the bridge. I wish the lyrics were stronger. The "I know there's a special place in hell / That my friends and I know well" is cool, still.

    cool dogs

love those backup vocals in the second prechorus (think they're just "do-doo-do's" instead of actual lyrics? can't quite tell)

    Summed up my thoughts. It's a pop-punk song, that's about it. ‍♂️

Not to derail the new song discussion but I’ve been looking at old set lists from shows I’ve been to and I am not emotionally prepared to possibly hear Stay Together with Tom again.

Yeah, I think with the last two albums, Mark probably wanted to share the lifting a little bit but at the same time....you can't have a blink-182 song where neither Mark or Tom sings, so splitting up the songs that way is a little different with Skiba. haha.

I think the main thing is just having the guys actually give input on each other's ideas, even if it's just instrumentally. IMO what a lot of older blink songs had on Cali/Nine was that they felt more personal (I guess) when it was just one guy singing. It felt a little more unique or from the heart when coming from just one person instead of being a team effort.

I'm hoping they just strike a good blend here of those two styles because I do like songs like this where they are both front and center - much better than Neighborhoods where the most they could do was Tom verse, Mark chorus.

    Ronald.

    House of Protect Ron.

I like it a lot. It sounds exactly like an equal mix of where Mark left of with blink, Travis left off producing folks, and Tom left off on lifeforms.

I feel like Tom will actually be able to sing this one live. He also sounds great on this track. No super weird annunciation stuff and he taps into a little bit of that old school gritty Tom.

Got MSG and Barclays waiting rooms open on my computer, and UBS on my phone.

As god as my witness I'm getting tickets to one of these damn shows this morning!

The thing that stood out to me was how overly simplified the drums are in the whole song. Usually, if a drummer typically plays a lot of intricate stuff and then gets toned down for a song, it was because the producer pushed them to do so. Then when I saw Travis himself was the producer, it hit me that it was his choice to play this way because he thinks it works best for the song.
