Those ticket prices are fucked. Don’t know why we aren’t more heavily criticising the bands for allowing it. Supporting an artist shouldn't mean you’re dishing a weekly or half weekly wage out.

When I finally got in, floor tickets for LA were $326

That would be the first time they ever played more than 80 minutes. Seriously I think their longest set was 84 minutes in London in 2004 when Robert Smith came out to sing “All Of This”.

I think 70 minute shows are what to expect since that’s what they always played especially with their older age and Mark’s health.

Yep I saw that too. My friends and I just decided to do WWWY next year and wait til tickets are like $150 or less like they are this year.

  8. Yeah, ticket price backlash is definitely starting to be more common. After COVID, I think most people were like "well, they need to make money" and then with gas and bus/van prices, it got even more expensive to tour in the first place, but I can't think of a single announced tour lately where sticker shock has not been part of it too. Weird times.

On Ticketmaster, In Boston if you want tickets:

GA - $632 per ticket before fees

Floor seats (non GA) - $681per ticket before fees

Balcony seats - $306 per ticket before fees

This isn’t right. Better off just waiting for general on sale on buying tickets closer to the show

    Lol that's batshit jesus

Confirmed only way I'm going to this is if they add a CT date and I can get lawn seats.

I'm confused, I thought this is only the pre-sale, and general sale is Monday...

I've been fine getting tickets to the big concerts lately waiting up until a few months prior.

I really didn't think the MCR reunion could be topped price wise, far as this scene, but I was wrong lol

Dynamic pricing is definitely fucked and ticket prices in general are fucked but how many people just pay Spotify and don’t support artists in other ways? Not saying people on this site but just the casual music listener?

For smaller shows at Roseland Theater, Crystal Ballroom, etc... ticket prices have stayed in the $30-50 range mostly, which is fine. Twenty One Pilots and MCR @ Moda recently were in the $100-150 range, which was also fine. But what essentially came out to $325 per ticket for this Blink tour is the most I've ever paid for a ticket, and yeah I was not expecting that. Just wow. Even the 2013 Untitled show @ Wiltern was reasonably priced.

I'm already trying to prepare myself for the inevitable absurdity that will be attempting to purchase a Taylor Swift ticket next month for her rumored 2023 stadium tour. I am not ready for that at all. :verysad:

EDIT: I checked and it was $215 for the MCR ticket.

  15. I am so fucking glad the surge pricing bullshit isn't commonplace here but it should be fucking illegal

Yeeeah these shows are probably a no-go for me, by the looks of it. It's already going to cost quite a bit just to travel to one of these shows since there isn't one within a reasonable driving distance for me (plus hotel costs, parking?). Not really looking to spend more on ONE concert than I do on my monthly mortgage payment. ha.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s been happening for a long time. Most people used to pirate music or buy CD’s every once in a while. Not buying a $20 CD doesn’t justify having to pay $400 for a concert ticket. This new business model for event tickets is awful.

Portlander here too. Undecided whether we're going to stay up there or drive back home to Portland afterwards. May tough it out and drive back down afterwards. It'll suck, but don't want to stay anywhere overpriced nearby.

I'd rather stay home and watch a pro-shot show on YouTube than sit on the lawn at the Meadows and watch the entire show from those shitty TV screens anyway. I'm hoping if they do add a CT date its at Mohegan Sun and not Hartford.

Yeah Airbnb prices in Seattle are insane. $300-400 a night for anything decent and hotels aren’t much cheaper. I thought about making it into a trip, but it’s just too much. Hoping they add a Portland show or ticket prices fall. I could see them adding a second Seattle show which would probably help prices fall too.

Yeah, most floor tickets in St. Paul were $150-$300 before the upsurge, and by the end of the hour they were all up to $500-ish, fucking hell.
