They should've thrown in an album pre-order with a ticket purchase.

Why are crappy seats at the Minneapolis show so expensive?

A dumb, but genuine question since I never go to arena shows. Are the floor seats elevated above the pit at all? I’m guessing not. Trying to determine if floor seats would even be worth it since my wife is short.

I know it’s vinyl so they need a big head start, but Im just hoping a pre-order means they won’t be submitting the album for mixing/mastering in March and that it will just be out by then lol.

My ticket for the Austin date lower bowl all in was $183. Not sure what it was since three of us all queued at the same time on our own devices and whoever got there first would buy the tickets.

No, it's all the same elevation.

From my experience pre-sales in UK are face value and only general sale involves dynamic pricing (so far). I got Kendrick Lamar tickets for £85 each and then when they went on general sale standing was £185 each.

I hate even using the term dynamic pricing. It’s straight up theft.

Got myself a Mark vinyl - best looking variant!

Mark briefly talks about the big announcement in the beginning of his Radio Show in the newest episode with Rivers Cuomo. Nothing very important other than you can tell he is SUPER excited and happy about it all.

I totally understand the frustration and I'm not trying to come off like a stone-cold Republican capitalist but it IS weird that people think supply/demand should apply to everything but concert tickets. What we're seeing now is event tickets essentially functioning like airline tickets in that there is a limited supply for a premium good and it fluctuates based on demand. It's though because the public has gotten used to concert tickets being $30-120 and now those prices are 5x but that's also the result of streaming democratizing music consumption and, for big acts, simply more people want to go.

I gotta hand it to the band and label for doing an amazing job building hype and definitely selling more tickets than they would have without this specific rollout. I just took a look, the last time I saw them in 2019 I paid $117 for 4 tickets, now it looks like each ticket is more than that total for most people

I learned that the hard way multiple times this year. Most relevant example here is My Chemical Romance. Bought my tickets during the presale, came to $100 per ticket and they were nosebleeds. That section even went up in price during the general on sale due to dynamic pricing. Then once show day came I was talking with people with much better seats than us who paid 40% less.
Also saw Limp Bizkit at MSG (don't judge!), again bought those during a presale and then by show day tickets were like a quarter of what I paid.

Don't let this dynamic pricing bullshit bully you into spending more! Also it's kind of bullshit how the presales are supposed to be for the die hard fans, and they take advantage of them.

Meanwhile bands like New Found Glory do their presales through Soundrink and the price is like 15% cheaper than the general on sale.

So realistically, is it still possible to get GA Pit tickets on the rest of these presales/regular sale?

For real. Seems like they got someone different from the marketing department to take the lead on this one than on the NINE rollout.

For the amount that people are paying for tickets, you should get a half-hour conversation with each member of the band. Geez Louise.

Probably not...I think most of those are allocated to this on sale and the VIP packages. If you REALLY want the pit I'd just expect to pay probably 10-15% over what the face value was but fingers crossed you get lucky.

Ok so for California people, is the presale code WEARECOMING? I saw another code in the thread here. I'm already dreading how much these will probably cost in the next 20 minutes

Nothing makes me feel poor more than seeing some of these concert ticket prices. haha. Like, I do alright for myself, but I look at spending $500+ on a couple of concert tickets and say "lol yeah right". Then I think "Wait....you're telling me 20k other people are jumping at the chance to do this? Ouch."

The blink presale is WEARECOMING. There's a Turnstile code (BOOMBOOMBOOM) that might unlock a different set of tickets.
