In fact, I've been to or inside of 40 different states. And a lot of those states are as different from each other as different countries are. Eat me, Europeans!

Yeah the amount of people I've heard here in Oslo who just casually travel to various countries around Europe, like its nothing, is pretty amazing

Unfortunately its all going to non-union friendly states and that is mainly why they are locating there among the numerous and ridiculous tax breaks being offered.

Yeah I know that sucks; all in the south. Has any company or industry announced a big new factory opening up in the north in the next couple of years? I thought I remember reading that a chip factory was going to be built in NY state or something. But yeah, good that all this new investment in coming (thousands upon thousands of new jobs), but them being (probably) non-union will suck

As someone who just visited southern Wisconsin for the first time, widely surprised at how hilly it was. Quite honestly reminded me of almost a northern version of Kentucky/Tennessee with how hilly it was.

There has been some talk of either a chip factory or some sort battery component plant here in Michigan, though Michigan being a right to work state now so not sure if those will end up unionized or not. I know my companies plants are specifically not in Michigan because of the possibility of unionization. I saw Ohio is getting some stuff as well but again, similar to Michigan in being less union friendly than historically it had been.

Speaking of unions and automotive side of things, its going to be wild next year because I think the UAW's contract comes up for bargaining with all the Big 3 automakers next year. I think this is one of the first times in a long while that it has come up for all three in the same year. Going to be interesting to see those negotiations go in particularly with the EV push and where these plants are being put.

Is this Fetterman interview shit actually going to hurt him in the election? Really hard to see how we keep the senate without PA :uhoh:

Joining a union in the united states now financially offsets not going to college

hopefully. But polling has been moving in Oz's direction. Even if it swings like 2% of the vote... that could change the result. But it certainly could be that Fetterman's health is something that trolls on twitter like to make hay with, but actual PA swing are able to see through the bullshit.

Why make new stuff and hire nonwhite people when you can barf up everything risk takers did in the past and fire all the nonwhite people?
