My daughter's daycare told us she was exposed to RSV last week, so we're watching her closely. Hoping she doesn't get a bad case.

 

Doing an allergy panel/test for our baby today. Unfortunately I can't go, has anyone done this with their kids?

 

Both of my kids just went through this over the summer. They went twice. The first was just testing for general allergies and the second time was for medicines. Both times they did fine, but they're there for a while. It takes a while to test, and then of course, they make you remain there to make sure you don't have any reactions. Even if you don't have bad reactions, you're still pretty nicked up because of the tests. But my kids did great.

 

That's (RSV) just such a terrible thing to have your kids go through. My youngest was in the hospital for a week and I felt so helpless. Hope they're get well soon.

 

any of y'all got stuff that you wish you would have put on your registries but didn't think about at the time?

Yep backing that Babybjorn as well. Thing is soooo nice early on and later when they figure out how to bounce themselves.

Congrats! Hope everyone is recovering well!

 

So far, so good. He was a section baby so he’s just super chill and mom is doing really well on the recovery side of things.

 

Yeah section babies are typically super tired for the first day+

How long did everyone's kids nurse? We're at 9 months and it's been a tough journey and now our daughter won't stop biting my wife while she feeds. My wife's supply is dropping as well so that makes it extra difficult to nurse.

She wants to make it to a year since apparently that's the norm but we're considering doing a trial period with some formula because it's a lot for her rn.

Our first kid was maybe a couple days, and I honestly don't even think my wife tried beyond a week with out second kid. Neither really latched (hey-oh) on to it. I think the biggest success story was no pacifiers past a year with either kid.

 

I’m so sleepy already lol

 

Of my 4 kids, only the 2nd was breast fed for about a month. Rest have all been fully formula

 

My wife did a full year of nursing with the last month starting to phase it out
