The last few days have brought so much fun. Nothing can compare to being a teenager, things just hit harder at that phase of personal/musical discovery. My god, the whole David Kennedy leak; lying in bed awake and really late to follow the confirmation at the Grammys. It felt more uncertain and for the first time since I got into them, my favorite band was about to become active...

The anticipation for Neighborhoods will always remain unparalleled in my life, but I have to concede how anticlimatic the first reunion was after the confirmation. It took two and a half years to get a single taste of new music... This time they seem to be all on the same page and the amount of promo made everything seem fuller. Having a new single friday already and a new album well in the works (for all we know) almost feels like "unblink-182 like" in a good way. I hope I won't miss this chance to see them here in Portugal, it might very well be my last shot...

 

Also there’s a 8 ticket limit. Fuck that it should be 4 or even just 2

I don’t know what to expect. The last tour didn’t sell well but the marketing and release of Nine was god awful. Obviously there will be increased interest with Tom, but I don’t know if it’s enough to sell out everything instantly especially since it’s 7-8 months away. Either way I see tickets selling well for this.

Given how long vinyl production time is and they're saying 2023, and I'd imagine it should be out before the tour/around the start of the tour I'm thinking it's done. :o

Good tickets will definitely go fast. Shitty tickets may take a bit longer, but either way release will be high and TM will be doing the shitty premium ticket stuff that I loathe for the best seats.

 

How else is ticketmaster going to buy up all of the tickets and resell them for more elsewhere?

You can't compare ticket sales from the Matt era vs. a Tom reunion. Add on the fact that pop punk and nostalgia has made a massive boom in the last two years. I'd imagine 70% of these shows will sell out on day one.

 

I think the NINE cycle was botched so they can only go up. Plus the hype for Tom has even reached the mainstream newspapers here. It's going to be big.

 

I think the clips sound great. Im sure the full song will sound even better!

 

i was really hoping for shows in pavillions so i could get cheapo seats on the lawn but i'm not going to be a debbie downer

 

I'm not stoked on the clip at all but I remain hopeful after Lifeforms.
