Yeah, I will say, Travis' work with MGK proved that he can make literally anyone sound good, and we already know Tom & Mark's personality will shine through any song they're in, so I'm not at all skeptical about the possible quality of new music.

 

Tom with a producer. Thank the maker. This is already better than Neighborhoods.

 

I’m just excited about the possibility of more Rhys Cooper posters for this band.

I think I’m going to make a Seattle trip out of this. Going to take my daughter on her first big trip out of state and do all the fun touristy shit I’ve done before. Tickets are going to go fast for that show since they aren’t playing Portland so I’m hoping I can get decent seats. Very happy this band is back after everything Mark went through.

 

As if there's not a massive difference between the pop punk Travis makes with blink and that with wannabes *coughPinTheGrenadecough*

 

I hope that sounds better in high-res audio, cause boy did that sound toothless. Like the chorus, though.

 

This could be the worst song off Neighborhoods and you bet I’ll be listening to 200 times in the next month.

The snippet didn't make it sound better but I will wait for the full thing.

My hope is that this is another California and after that they can do a more "experimental" record.

EDIT: The production is much better than Neighbourhoods but that's a given. Seems on par with the Travis stuff with MGK and Avril.

I guess I can always sale my Seattle ticket if they announce a Portland show. I don’t feel good about passing up a regular ticket and then having to pay for resale if they don’t announce a Portland show. Hoping to get a good ticket for less than $250.
