The match went on way too long and a long of us can’t take Judgement day seriously due to Dom’s involvement. He sucks and is shoved down our throats constantly. Otherwise the end was good storytelling but it took too long to get there and the Mysterio stuff is dumb.

 

Part of what hurts Judgement Day is the fact they haven’t moved on to a different program.

 

I think this is the bigger issue more so than Dom

 

I think Dom has actually helped them. The feud just needs to end.

 

And not to mention they have lost a lot.

 

I took the wife last night, she’s not a fan of wrestling but Bray has her really invested because she’s such a horror buff. I also jumped out of my seat and marked out and she looked at me like I was crazy lol. I love wrestling

 

I took my now-fiancé to an ROH show like a month after we started dating about 5 years ago. She hasn’t gone with me to another show since lol

My girlfriend was as stoked for Blood and Guts as I was and we watch Dynamite together every week. It took awhile to get her there, and by the time of the feud she was invested but I think the CM Punk/MJF feud is what really cemented her love for professional wrestling.

Dom is awful and will never be over

 

He sucks, but he’s getting nuclear heat from the live crowds at the moment. And that counts for a lot to those that book the show.

Hey, I’m not defending the guy, he’s rubbish and should never have got fast tracked. I’m just saying I can understand why they’d wanna keep putting him out there.

 

Ha, fair. I mean, AEW doesnt really do multi-month vignettes, build stuff like that...they tend to just debut people out of nowhere. Production wise they could, and I think the way they did the Penta Oscuro reveal was sooooo far below the mark they could have hit...but they dont structure their show like that at all.

Actually, only time I can think AEW did a long-term "who is X" type build was with The Exalted One...which Bray referenced last night

 

So is Sammy Guevara; are we thinking thats a good thing for AEW right now? The problem with a heel the crowd hates and doesnt want to see is that you cant do anything to change that course. Got a babyface getting boo'd, turn them heel. Got heels being cheered, turn them face. Got a heel that the crowd hijacks their segments...you can only really take them off TV.

 

I was willing to give it time because Rhea was supposed to fight Bianca until she got hurt. She is the only one in that stable who moves the needle for me & the Dom angle really dragged her down along with Priest because they tried using him as a shield. I also don't know if it does anything for Finn even if Edge put him over last night. What else are they supposed to do? Fight AJ Styles (again)? Just kind of stuck in that midcard tier disguised as main eventers while Reigns holds both titles.

 

More than anything this was the problem. There was a whole 5 minutes of Edge and Beth retaking control that wasnt needed...and even probably a solid 5 minutes of the match before that that could have trimmed. That match went 12 minutes longer than the Brawling Brutes opener and The Fight Pit match, both of which sold a similar vicious angle way better.
