This is…fine. I enjoy it more than the last couple but still lacks any type of teeth. The first two records were great but I just think that magic is gone.

I was listening at work, and I'm sure that's part of it, but there was nothing here that caught my ear and made me stop and listen. I'll definitely give it more listens, but nothing grabbed me right off the bat.

This is much better with headphones on today. Life was easier is a mfing bop. Wish they all moved like that.

This is fine, probably better than Mystic Truth by a bit. I do agree that *something* is missing, I think it might be that vaguely post punk edge the first two records have which seems to be basically gone now

I can totally agree that something seems to be missing on this. It's still incredibly enjoyable and I think its better than just "good", but an identity just doesn't seem as strong as the other 3 albums. I'm sure over time this might change for me.

Stryker points it out in that interview I shared, but I always forget just how young these guys are. 4 very strong albums in and still in their 20's. I couldn't even imagine to attempt writing songs the way these guys do when I was in my 20's.

Mystic Truth is still my favorite. Definitely their most unique album, imo.

Listened to this 4 times today. I was wrong about my last post. There's nothing really missing from this haha. It's very cohesive and has an absolutely beautiful soundscape.

A lot of it actually reminds me of Disappear Here, but a bit more modernized.

Also, I swear that's a Kenny G. sax solo on this album. Wow.

Shocked that there aren't more people talking about this record and/or on the bandwagon for this.

This is very likely my favorite release of 2022 so far. I have always liked singles from this band, but holy shit this entire album is just jam after jam after bop or whatever the hell the kids call it these days. SO much fun, just absolutely infectious stuff.

Bought the vinyl and hoping I can go see them on tour as well.

    The rivalry is back on

Baby Blue Shades is such a fun earworm! Definitely going to be one of my songs of the summer.
