Yeah, Paramore definitely wouldn't be stuck in a small opening slot lmao

 

It's not gonna be a bunch of big bands, if I had to guess, it's gonna be

1. Blink
2. Turnstile
3. [barker-core artist like HUDDY or jxdn]
4. [tiny indie/pop-punk band, like Hot Milk or Heart Attack Man]

 

No way Blink 182 is ever going to want to have to play with Green Day again

Excited for Tom reunion but also still salty I was one of those suckers that got VIP tickets the first Tom reunion and only got a special lanyard

 

Green Day essentially blew Blink off the stage when they toured 20 years ago. I'm sure they wouldn't mind Blink along for the ride to boost ticket sales but I can't imagine Blink wanting to have to follow or play before GD's show.

 

rumor has it though that Green Day did not have a very good time on that tour haha. but yes, Green Day blew them away on that tour, can confirm.

Rumours back then suggested the bands didn’t exactly get along on tour

 

I recall a few years back that apparently Blink tried to make a GD/Blink tour happen again but GD already had Hella Mega in the books. Maybe amends were made or something and they’re making it work next year

 

I’d love that. Green Day are a huge blind spot in my concert going history, somehow never seen them. I was supposed to go to Pop Disaster way back when but got super sick and couldn’t, still upset about it lol

Green Day used to have a bad habit of slagging bands in the press for fun in the 90’s and early 00’s. I think they may have taken some cheap shots at Blink in the press during the tour taunting them about not having the same amount of hits and being afraid to go on after them (GD). That being said, I think the guys in GD have lightened a bit so I’m sure they’d be happy to tour with Blink but definitely not play before them.

 

If it really is Blink / Paramore / Turnstile I guess I wouldn’t be too mad. Might be nice to leave after Paramore and get home early.

Paramore's going on their own tour according to concertleaks.

 

Don't know if this account is credible or if this screencap is even legit but that concertleaks account did imply that Paramore was doing a headline tour in 2023. They just tweeted that after the Blink tweets so maybe there was some confusion with that

Wonder when it’ll be officially announced. I thought it’d have to be a bit since Turnstile is on their own headliner rn, but maybe it’ll be sooner rather than later

 

I have no idea if it will be right away or not, but I don’t think Turnstile’s headliner will affect anything. Most of those dates are already sold out or close to being so

 

The fact that the Hulu Theater at MSG is on this makes me think it’s fake

 

Went to this tour… Green Day was awesome, blink sounded TERRIBLE - so bad we left after a couple songs.

 

Nah, these are just early listings, so if it's an error, I wouldn't be surprised, but it could also just be an additional overflow date for the main MSG show.

If it was a fake, it would try to be much neater and consistent, imo.
