Nah i was working all weekend, early mornings and late nights.

listened to it on my flight home today though and holy shit.

 

I can't even begin to believe how good this album is. Its breathtaking. Its heartbreaking and its really good to hear Keith get even more emotional lyrically. Its like a window into his life the past like 10 months and I'm really glad him and his family made it out the other end, and this fucking phenomenal album is the aftermath. ETID forever.

 

They seriously can do no wrong. This album is relentless. So so amazing.

 

my mind is boggled that anyone would want to remove two summers. the peaks and valleys here are great. I think the order of songs is perfect

 

Sometimes I think Petal should be the opener and 1977 could be a bonus track,
But I'm also totally OK with the real track list.

 

seriously i gave TBS crap for playing that new album on their current tour....but ETID could actually play this entire album on this tour, i wouldnt even care.

 

Has anyone received their vinyl, yet? It looks like mine is still sitting in LA.

This album is really climbing my charts for AOTY and its place in the ETID discography. I absolutely love that dirty opening to Fear and Trembling. So creepy and awesome. Love this band. I've been wearing my ETID Bills shirt a lot this weekend to celebrate the new album.

 

My bandmates and I have a tough time agreeing on bands anymore, but ETID is one of the few that's unanimous between us. Yesterday at practice, one of guitarists walked in the door, looked directly at me, and just said, "It Remembers." I looked back and said, "Yep. Yep. I know."

ETID. Bringing people together.

 

Wait you gave a band crap for playing their new album on tour? lol what?

 

How does a band just consecutively release great albums? I just wanna know the psychology here.

 

pretty sure tbs is just playing the new one straight through exclusively on the tour, at least that's what i've read/heard

 

Playing a brand new album no one knows all the way through on a small club tour is super sketchy. I went, the crowd was done by track 4

 

If the new album isn't out yet or just came out that week, I think it's lame for a band to primarily play songs from it.

Yeah didn't know they were doing full new album with not even a few other hits sprinkled in. That's an odd choice

 

They did an encore set with like 9 songs but still it was weird

 

Damn, that's such a weird decision. And they didn't announce it at all? I mean I've seen a band do that before but it was advertised that they'd be playing the new album in full way beforehand.

 

Nope it was announced as a small club tour which usually means it's gonna be a treat for the die hards with deep cuts and stuff but on the first date they played the whole album and have been doing it every night, and the encore set is just the big singles nothing too interesting at all

 

Lol hate to be the entitled fan but I'd be pretty pissed. Maybe I just think that because I'm not a big TBS fan though.

 

It's weird, for certain bands I don't give a shit what they play live. But then other bands there are certain songs I really want to hear even if it's one their popular ones that's been played to death. Every Time I Die is in the "I don't care what they play category". They have such a strong discography and live presence that it does not matter to me. TBS I would definitely want some hits in there.

 

From looking up the setlists they were playing basically all of their hits, just at the end. So even though the order is weird with going through the WHOLE new album first and then the hits after, doesn't really seem that bad to me. Yeah maybe they should have waited for Tidal Wave to be out for a bit longer but they still hit most points.

 

Well that's part of the problem, people have been hearing those hits for so long it'd be nice if they could toss in some deep cuts. But they can't because fifty minutes to an hour of the set is 12 brand new songs hardly anyone knows. It was not an exciting show

 

Forcing an audience to stand through like 12 songs they've never heard before is a dick move no matter what they play afterward. Like I get that they don't want to become a legacy act or whatever but you can't just trick people into listening to your stuff like that haha, the fans should decide for themselves. Just seems really selfish, especially given the type of band that they are.

 

In an ideal world yes but I'm saying more in line with what a typical tour is for a lot of bands; Promoting new album, throw in some hits. That's just how it is unfortunately. You'll def get bands that'll switch up setlists for shows and those bands are awesome, but I feel like that's not usually how it is. But the ordering of it is what I'll def agree with, they shouldn't bombard with the whole new album and practically have the hits being held hostage at the end.
