I saw Sunn O))) at Primavera Sound 2015. When they started their performance they had a massive crowd of thousands, but it was so loud that by the end of it we were only a couple hundreds left.
So dont forget your earplugs if you go to their show!

Never seen these guys but I don't know why bands think that louder is better. When Trash Boat opened for Enter Shikari it was loud AF and I saw Vein.fm and that was just insane how loud it was as we. During sound check they just kept pointing up up up to the tech guy for everything and it was just a wall of noise. l 'm also older now but go to a lot more shows comparatively to when I was younger (which is probably backwards for most). I value my hearing and ALWAYS have my ear plugs. The eargasms/vibes etc of the world all do a great job. None are as advertised, they all muffle to a certain degree, but meh, it's needed for me.

I personally don’t get Sunn 0))). I struggle to see how 30min of feedback is considered a song. I hear the live shows are great but also, it’s just loud feedback to a light show? Maybe I’m on the wrong drugs.

Damn. No luck on the monkeys tickets for redrocks. Sold out before I got in.

EDIT: In line for Tuesday now. Maybe I should have done both at once. Didn't think of that, D'oh.

2nd EDIT: And already for resale at $150! when they were $65!!! FUCKING AXS/TICKETMASTER!!! ALL THE SAME GARBAGE!!

I don't know why there's not a minimum resell time. It feels so wrong that seconds after it sells out, they're right there in front of you at 3+ times the price.

Because Ticketmaster, the venues and the artists make more money this way lol

Y'all really need to understand how this shit works. Ticketmaster is a platform promoters use to sell tickets and they make money off ticketing fee. The bands/managers set prices and opt into dynamic pricing which makes them (and yes, by extension, Ticketmaster) more money. Bands are free to NOT opt into those practices and set limitations on resale (at least in the states that allow them) but many just don't want to in order to get in on the reselling money.

I get how and why it all works. I just like to whine every time about it being unfair. Despite knowing all the reasons, doesn't make my blood boil any less when I get boxed out.

I hear ya, I got boxed out of Arctic Monkeys GA tickets this morning. I think we all just have to come the realization that getting "face value" tickets for hot shows is now a rarity and we'll have to settle for actual market price most times.

Because they get fees and they are counting on people missing out on tickets panic buying resell tickets

So those Depeche Mode tickets didn’t last very long. Really hoping they add some festival shows or something, having such a small US tour is not ideal.

  19. “Six bands each night.” I am tired just thinking about that. I love festivals but it feels so much different at a single show.

Six bands and two stages is ideal. Six bands and one stage is a nightmare.

Only multi-band bill (more than 3) that I ever remember working was the Rise Against tour w/Alkaline Trio, Thrice and The Gaslight Anthem in 2008.

Remember all the risecore tours from 2007-2010 with like 8 bands on one bill in a tiny ass bar?
