Please let this be the last full collapse tour

 

they're still doing full collapse tours. do they not know how to play their other songs or what?

 

yeah it's pretty absurd. you'd think after multiple anniversary tours, several vinyl represses including a live album, they'd realize they've adequately celebrated that record enough and could move on to other work. sadly, they've pigeonholed themselves

 

Thursday should do a Tell All Your Friends tour and Taking Back Sunday should do a Full Collapse tour

 

The only reasons I’m interested in going are that I still love FC, I love Anthony Green, and I’m probably going to go with a friend who has never seen Thursday before

But I 100% share the same complaints. I would love to see more from their later albums. That’s what made their tour earlier this year special when I saw them playing Running from the Rain and Autumn Leaves Revisited

 

yea I will say for the MCR show I went to at Barclays even if I got the lesser MCR set I got the cooler Thursday set, only 2 Full Collapse songs and got to see Fast to the End and The Other Side of the Crash. Would kill for a full ACBTLD show.

Yeah I'm skipping them on tour for the first time in a while just cause I feel like I've seen them play this record so many times. I'd like a City by the Light tour. I've heard a few people shout that at their shows too so that is my anecdotal scientific report stating there is interest in it.

 

I was gonna skip this, but i ADORE Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, so will probably go. I've actually never seen them play FC in its entirety (although, everytime I've seen them they pretty much just play FC and WATT). For those that have been to full FC shows, do they just play FC and nothing else? Or will they still play 3-4 other songs? I know their sets are always short anyway.

Hey, maybe they've raised enough money on these Full Collapse tours that they can now afford studio time for a new record.

Even an EP would be an accomplishment if they don't have a full length in them right now.

 

Jesus, let it go. FC is their second worst album after Waiting. It was big at the time, but they got so much better.

 

How about an 11 year anniversary tour for ND if we're doing random numbers

Random question but in their wikipedia page, Andrew appears as a former member. Is that true? I caught the No Devolucion livestream but suddenly can't remember if he was part of it. It also makes me wonder if his absence is another reason they're not playing much post-War All The Time stuff.

 

I believe he toured with them on their 2017 tour(s), but I don’t think he’s done any shows with them since the pandemic aside from the ND livestream

I was actually talking with someone about that the other day. I could have sworn he was with them in 2016 but I might very well be wrong. Definitely hasn’t been with them any other time I’ve seen them since.

As much as I desperately want a City tour, I’d really want him to be a part of it. He feels essential to that album.

 

He was definitely at the reunion shows at Wrecking Ball in Atlanta. I don't think he's played with them since, apart from that livestream. Nothing official about him being a past member, just hasn't been around. It's a shame.

I was just reviewing my pics from Asbury Lanes in summer 2018 and Andrew is there playing keyboard/guitar (FC/WATT shows). I feel like that's the last time (or tour?) he was with them, in front of an person audience.
