I really like this album but so far it doesn’t top Kiss Yr Frenemies for me. I feel like I just liked the arrangements on KyF better and the slower songs packed more of a punch

Wow the graf about the closing track kinda makes me sad that the song doesn't do much for me.

 

I think the fast and energetic tracks are where IH shines.

Really enjoying this. Free IH is easily my favorite though.

 

Lukewarm on this but for the opposite reasons as everyone else. The vocal style she’s adopted since the mixtape kills a lot of this for me. The songs that sound like the first LP—pool hopping, cheap shoes—those are my favorites. Also not huge on the singer songwriter type songs either

Interesting! Do you mean the kinda growly/raspy affect she puts on? It sticks out to me every time but it’s hard for me to describe.

 

No, the high pitched talk singing thing. Maybe that’s what you mean too cause it is tough to describe lol

 

I think I like this song more than all the songs off of Let Me Do One More except for maybe Threatening Each Other re:Capitalism

FINALLY getting into this album. Liked some of their other stuff alright, but something kept them from clicking with me fully (I think it was some of the theatrical vocal stuff). But I'm all in now, the record is wonderful

 

yes pls
