Tom said Alkaline Trio was a huge inspiration for Untitled, so it’d be cool for them to lean into the darker lyrics and stuff a little more.

Someone posted Jason’s notes on Reddit. The word is out.

 

Neighborhoods is the most definitively Fall Blink album for me. Did a playthrough today. Even If She Falls rips. How did that not officially make the album?

 

Neighborhoods is one of the very few albums I always listen to the deluxe of, I'll never really understand why the deluxe and standard are arranged the way they are, it's quite odd

 

It was a desperate experiment major labels were trying at the time to try and boost album sales. They did it with Nicki Minaj's first album too and her first massive single (Superbass) was only on the deluxe version.

 

I understand the concept of bonus tracks haha, but specifically with blink two tracks are in the middle of the tracklist and one is part 1 of another song so it's just overall an odd strategy where the deluxe feels like the standard and the standard feels like an edited down version

 

Neighborhoods deluxe is the standard IMO so I know what you’re saying.

 

Yeah even Mark said the deluxe one is the definitive version of the album.

 

It was Tom’s favorite when the album came out.

 

Lol thats the point I was trying to make. Now we think of deluxe albums as just having 3 b-sides added on at the end, but there was that weird period 10 years ago where they'd bake the "bonus" songs in the tracklist, and they weren't b-sides but actual singles.
None of those Neighborhood extras were exactly singles, but I'm sure most people would take Snake Charmer and Even If She Falls over most of those "regular" tracks.

 

So, should we play guess the date on the official announcement?

 

Neighborhoods was my first Blink album. After that I really got into TOYPAJ and Enema. Anyway yeah, I don't think I've ever listened to the "original" version; it's always been deluxe. I'm my head I've kind of always considered tracks "MH through Even if She falls" the bonus stuff. So to be the album's official end is This is Home. That's how my brain processed it as back in 2011 and its kind of stuck.
