I really want the opener and closer next week but if they're only playing 6 I feel like they're def playing all 5 of the released songs

I would think it's almost a guarentee they open their set with Doors and end with You're The Reason. Feels like they've done that on every tour after an album comes out since TGG at least?

They didn't do it on any of the Sister Cities runs. "Pyramids" opened the first leg, "Cigs & Saints" closed. On the second leg, they opened with "Sister Cities" and went back to "Swinging" as the closer.

I've seen them do "I Don't Like Who.." as the opener and I do agree that it works very well. People go absolutely nuts for that song. I'd much prefer something from Hum on this run, though.

6 seems like a totally reasonable number on the surface but then you start to think about what doesn't make the cut and I immediately realize how much I just want them to play the whole damn thing. The first four singles seem like total locks, and "Doors" and "Reason" seem like the obvious choices given both the band's talk of them, and fan reaction, but that means "Lights" and "Teeth" are left out, which, how?!

Ya know what you're right. I don't remember hearing them open with Kyoto at all on any of those runs.

These just feel like such perfect openers and closers it almost would be silly to not do it.

revisited SC on my drive home. god what a record. the only thing that holds it back is how poorly it’s translated through the speakers, because damn, everything else is top fucking notch

    This is correct.

They can play whatever amount of new songs they want, but the HAVE to play Paris in Philly. I don’t see how they don’t.

I am sorry for a take so steamy that I'm sure it's just straight up disrespectful to people who have liked this band for far longer than I have, but as someone who only really got into them in the past year or two, this is so easily my favorite front-to-back TWY album.

Been a fan since between the Upsides and Suburbia and I think this album is easily their best. Might partially be the newness of it all, but this will probably end up being like in top 5/10 best/most important albums of my life
