Nope. They’ve already done shows in NY/LA and there’s no backlash. No statement from the band acknowledging any work Chris has done to get better or anything. It’s incredibly gross that bands can just go away for a year and then get people back on board with token full album shows.

 

They will not. They’ve already played shows this year in NJ and Anaheim. It’s almost like they didn’t happen

That SOI show has been wiped from existence, even the link to buy tickets doesn't work anymore

 

Thoughts on the Front Bottoms aside, that’s a really good lineup they put together.

 

Yeah, Emperor X is a band I'd love to see. I wasn't sure how active they were anymore.

 

They played a little tiny cafe in Chicago earlier this month but I couldn’t go. I’m also still bummed my date of the AJJ / Xiu Xiu / Emperor X tour in 2020 never got rescheduled.

 

WHAT? I'm in Chicago, how did I miss that? Where did they play?

Absolutely. Really like the concept of doing it in multiple venues too. Didn’t realize how close all of those venues are together. Haha

 

There’s a fest in Chicago that does something similar - upstairs and downstairs at one venue and a second venue half a block away.

 

Also, aside from these new tour dates, Death Cab also teased in a Reddit AMA last week that a Transatlanticism 20-year tour may be happening next year as well

 

Now I wonder what would the reaction be if Brand New play shows again. I've met A LOT of people that dont really care about Jesse Lacey allegations and are waiting for them to play again

 

Pretty sure that wouldn't go over so well in the year 2022

 

I feel like it’s when they play shows not if they play shows with Brand New at this point.

 

Also didn’t the Bamboozle guy say he’s trying to get Brand New back and to play the next Bamboozle?

Yeah, I read somewhere that they passed. I think it was a footnote on either Bamboozle or Brand New’s Wikipedia page.

 

It shouldn’t but it would. I promise you if they announced a Deja 20 year tour next year they’d sell out most of the dates (assuming large theaters/midsized amphitheaters)
