Anger is just part of the COD experience, as shitty as it is. Like I definitely had fun playing the beta and most likely gonna get it based on that but there’s just something that got to me about being older and not playing like I used to.

I really like the Wo Long demo. I know at times it feels like a lot more of the same from Team Ninja and there are some frustrations, but I think there is a lot of nice touches to it and it feels like it's gonna be a more fun experience than the other Nioh-likes I've played (I still need to play Nioh 2 which I hear is the best though). Plus I'm a sucker for three kingdoms games. Might end up my GOTY.

 

Definitely excited for Wo Long

Honestly, I almost feel like my regular posts on here have compelled me to actually finish what I start and commit to my backlog. Like keeping me in check.

I've finished more games this year than I have in the last five.

 

Started playing Immortals Fenyx Rising on game pass and really enjoying it so far. Hits a lot of the same notes BOTW and Elden Ring did for me.

Definitely agree the narrative structure is off putting. There are a few moments when its kinda funny but for the most part I just want Zeus to shut up. But other than that its a very good game!

 

Your backlog has a backlog. I feel this.

I'm probably halfway through the game. I can only make so much progress on a workday, unfortunately.

I'm hoping I can finish this tomorrow, preferably before the evil storm cloud hits, in case we lose power. Really hoping that doesn't happen.

It's an amusing point and click about a woman in a padded cell and her imaginary friend, a stuffed bunny.

Honestly, right now, the majority of actions I've been taking in the game are like, 90% toward achievements and 10% toward actually moving the plot along. There's annoying missable achievements that require you to do dumb things, like put ketchup and mustard on various objects, or draw on them with a pen, or put paper water cups in random places.

It is what it is.

 

rolled credits on pillars of eternity. wow. what a story. what a world. one of the best games i have ever played in my life. any fantasy RPG fan of any nature needs to play this game. the most enchanting, immersive world i've experienced in quite some time. the characters are great, theres so much deep lore and history to dive into, and the 16th-17th century inspiration sets it a bit apart from other fantasy titles. cannot wait to see all of it expanded upon in deadfire, which i aim to start very soon if not immediately.
