Too many factors. Your price varies more heavily on the performers, not as much the venue

I don't think I've ever paid that much at a venue under 3000 cap. Usually shows at the Minneapolis Fillmore top out at like $45 including fees, and the larger theaters (Palace, Skyway) are around the same range. The only exception is the 3k Myth Live which runs like $60 usually.

I'm not including fees in my calcs, but at least here (Atlanta), over $40 for all the indoor mid sized venues (1200-3000) is an expensive face value ticket. I have refused going to shows that are set at $45 before because that's too high for market value.

What's the most y'all have ever spent on a single ticket? I spent $250 each time to see Dave Chappelle and John Mayer in Yellow Springs, Ohio in 2020/2021 and it was definitely worth it.

Mom and I spent $400/each (including fees) to see Elton John's farewell tour this weekend. 100% worth it IMO

$210 for GA at My Chemical Romance in St. Paul a couple weeks ago.

  7. Probably Springsteen but I haven't seen him since 2016 and I don't remember what it cost then. Probably less than $100. I'll end up paying a stupid amount to see him and Taylor Swift on their next tours, but at least I'm mentally prepared for it going in.

Honestly, I lose a lot of respect for bands doing that large of an underplay and wouldn't see them. If the demand is truly that high and not artificially created by Ticketmaster, sell more cheaper tickets to more people.

$175 for Taylor Swift on the rep tour. Low 100s of Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta.

I spent $200 to see Lady Gaga and it wasn't worth it as the seats sucked. It was at a baseball stadium and it was a weird layout, and despite being seats on the field, they were the complete wrong side for all the action and it wasn't really communicated that way.

It's a festival so it doesn't really count but WWWY fest is the most expensive event I've paid for but as far as potential bang for buck goes, I'm okay with it.

This one’s fair because she doesn’t play festivals.

$100 for Beyonce a decade ago so I guess now that would be $300 and a kidney

There are definitely more tours where it's like I can't justify those prices and don't go

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I think what he meant was that the next time they tour, it’ll probably be a much more high-scale production than what the CB&I cycle was. Their live shows the past five years were much more scaled/stripped down than their tours in the past, so maybe the next time they tour, it’ll be much more upscale visually. At least that’s my take.

Although that if is very concerning lol. Then again, Trent has also said numerous times that it would be a long time until NIN would tour again, only for them to return not long after. But… if this means Primavera was the last time I’ll get to see them, then I suppose I’m satisfied

I paid $125 after fees for pit tickets for the Slipknot tour and I feel that's pretty fair.

If your ticket is $75+ and you're showing up with a fabric backdrop and a couple lighting rigs I have an issue. If you're putting together a cohesive, full production-level show then I have no issue paying more for a ticket.

However, it's kind of embarrassing seeing a lot of these bands charging $100+ playing the same set in every city with minimal production, it's lazy.

Were Belmont hurt so bad that they are touring with rappers now?

  20. I'm pretty sure that's what they want to do. They've had rappers as openers on their tours before. I don't think the Sam situation hurt them much at all.

That's the issue, there is only a limited amount of tickets for these underplay shows. So I feel like these should be somewhat inflated price-wise to discourage scalping.

nothing will discourage scalping until it’s fully illegal.

on the other hand, scalpers panicking day of means I’ve had friends get into lower level tickets for Kendrick and My Chem for under $50

Not that Belmont were ever huge, but it really feels like they lost all momentum they had going for them. The Sam situation may be part of that, but I’ve also heard some other stuff involving another member that caused the guitarist Alex to leave. I used to be into them but I personally have lost all interest in them.
