    idk man

Pretty sure Motionless in White is bigger than August Burns Red at this point, and The Devil Wears Prada is probably going to headline off of Color Decay. I'm curious if ABR is even going to do a 10 years of R&R because they are due for another record pretty soon and would probably want to tour off of that.

Based on Trent's Discord post it looks like Nine Inch Nails might be done as a traditional touring act. If you saw them on this recent tour it looks to be a smart move.

From his wording, IF he decides to tour again it'll look much different. I could see him going towards more of a instrumental/film score type live show if him and Atticus ever tour again.

motionless are so much bigger than abr right now it's not even funny, and prada would be smarter to do a headliner for how well the new album is being received. plus, do abr really need to do ANOTHER 10 year tour?

What the hell… the 1975 Aragon show… this is more expensive then the other 2 shows combined (no this isn’t resale this the normal price)

jack white and Portugal the man shows combined with fees is $167

edit:the show is now showing as sold out

I’m curious what he said so I’ll have to seek that out but Saturday’s show was so insanely good.

Because that's the market rate for that show. If it's $154 + fees and if it's already sold out, it's not "over-priced". It's an underplay by a band that could probably do an arena thus the premium charge.

these bands are out of their damn minds charging that much for one show

Not really if you look at what bigger bands are charging and that’s a much smaller venue than they would normally play. That’s basically the price of a nosebleed to MCR or any other arena tour that’s selling super well. You can also blame Ticketmaster for the insane fees.

the fuck it is, nosebleeds to mcr were like 60-70 before price surges. that's closer to what my buddy paid for pit to mcr

I guess it depends on the date since TM does the BS dynamic pricing. I’ve been looking at MCR tickets closely since it went on sale. They are still $125 in Portland for the worst seats. Anything decent is $225. These are the regular prices and not premium tickets. Those are pretty crazy, but the norm for any arena tour that’s in decent demand.

Genuine question since I see so much complaining on these threads. What do you all, generally, think is a "fair" price for a show. Club, Theater/Mid-Size, Arena?

Not sure if this was posted already but it looks like Slam Dunk is announcing new bands today

    Club $40-60
    Theater $90-$110
    Arena $150-$200.

Those are for decent seats in a big venue and obviously depends on the act.

$15-35 for a club depending on band / lineup / production etc. $25-45 for a mid size theater and an arena $40-$125.

To me, those are 'fair' and 'average' prices for most shows I'm seeing when the tickets go up first hand.

    Small Club (500 cap) - $20
    HOB/Small Theatre Show (1-2K cap) - $30-$40
    Amphitheatre (5-10K) $50-$60
    Arena - Floor - $100, First level $80-100, Mid Level $60-80, Upper Level/Nosebleeds $30-50

  17. $100 for 300-level at an arena/stadium is usually my limit, Springsteen/Taylor Swift notwithstanding. I just don't go to that many tours of that size so I don't have a great sense of what I think tickets "should" cost.

For club shows, I'm delighted when it's under $20, I expect $25-$45. The Menzingers was $50 at a 500-cap last fall and that seemed high to me.

Honestly, I'll pay a lot of money for floor, but when I see nosebleeds/upper level starting at $90+ that is when it starts getting insane.

    Event Center

    (10k-18k) - $50 for Nosebleeds, $150 for GA/Floor

A lot of these answers on are on par with whee things are but for 1-3k theaters, no way it's going to be below $50 if you include fees.

Additional question, for a band doing an underplay (i.e playing a venue 4-5x smaller than they usually do that will be heavily in demand), what's a fair price?

  21. The other big factor, obviously, is how excited I am to see a band. I paid way more than I normally would want to for lawn tickets for the Hella Mega tour, but I'd never seen Green Day before and my wife hadn't seen any of the lineup. We had a great time and it was totally worth it.

Probably what they would charge for a pit ticket at a much bigger show so I’d say $125-$200 depending on the band/demand.

Also, if y'all are intending these prices to be with fees, you're definitely being unrealistic.

  24. Also a tough thing to gauge. I think the prices I had are within the realm of reasonable if fees are around 20% of the ticket price, but when fees get to 35-50% of the price then, yeah, most of these are pretty low.

    My tier

    Club (500-1000): $20-35
    Mid-size room (1-3k) - $30-50
    Theater: $60-100
    Arena: $60-250
    Ampitheater: $60-200
