Yeah there were people around me had at least a passing familiarity with black parade songs. Everyone seemed to recognize and jam to Mama and House of Wolves even if they weren’t singing every word.

Midtown covering "When You Were Young" by The Killers is definitely unexpected.

Mikey playing bass for them at the end of Give It Up was cool!

i feel that about most legacy acts tho tbh. Granted some of them really do have a lot of hits, but for the most part I do feel like the more hardcore, enduring fans at these shows are beholden to people who really came for 3-5 songs, everything else is a bonus.

  6. Please don’t call mcr a legacy act when they put out their best song in 15 years just this year lol

    Sending my love

They could have absolutely come back and been a “legacy act” and they 100% chose not to by making this tour as special as it has been

I could listen to Gerard pronounce Florida all night and I would've been happy but getting to see them play Sleep and Make Room!!!! was a sweet bonus.

One of the best set lists of the tour! They busted out Never Told You & Gerard was a sheet ghost!

legacy acts put out new, great music all the time, i don’t think the two are mutually exclusive. they were dormant for over a decade and came back to arenas. you can’t do that without a solid legacy

I think most of Danger Days is better than Foundations of Decay tbh. Wouldn't say it's their best in 15 years

I'd say its better than anything on Danger Days. Honestly it's already one of my favourite songs anyone's made in the last 15 years.

IDK - looking at the audience at last nights show, I expected to see a lot of 30-40 year “elder-emos” - but I was shocked at how many teenagers / young 20s there were. A lot of the crowd probably wasn’t even born / out of diapers when Black Parade came out.

Was so happy last night was a Three Cheers heavy setlist, even without Fashion Statement. I had a blast.

I don’t think I listened to Foundations more than twice. Not because I didn’t like it, I just don’t care much for one-off singles (by anyone).

Yeah I've tried to not listen to it too much, I've probably listened less than 20 times. Which is still way more than most random singles, but it'll still be relatively fresh when the full album, hopefully, comes. B-)

Foundations goes hard, but I have trouble comparing it to Danger Days just because of how different that album is.

tbh I have trouble comparing Danger Days to the rest of their catalog because it does sort of stick out, but it’s still so good for what it was going for.

Aged like a fine wine, for me anyways.

    Bringin the ruckus

Was updating my concert list last night while stuck in the neverending merch line and figured out it was exactly 11 years to the day since I'd last seen MCR play a show in Florida (on the Honda Civic tour with Blink 182 at the amphitheater in Tampa).

Haha idk, the verses of Decay are monotone and boring to me, and the chorus doesn't feel like one of their best to me. I like it, but I don't think it reaches the heights of their past work
