The first two were from build...first one was genuinely out of nowhere, and the second one was kind of obvious it was coming, but, they had built the feuds into it.

It feels like they've heated up Mox so much that it has to be him...but also, that might be just the perfect head fake to make people think it isnt DBry and to give MJF something to work with (he's more scared of DBry than Mox, etc)

And yeah, give the man his vacation back

Have him win.

...then have MJF and the Firm beat him down and cash in...

 

I'd say have Bryan win and then let him and MJF feud for a few months before MJF takes it. Bryan is a massive star which would benefit AEW publicly. And MJF's inevitable run would also benefit from a feud with a babyface Bryan Danielson.

 

Also, it fits DBrys apparent love for putting guys over. Though it feels like the Danielson/Jericho/Garcia angle isnt completed yet

 

@preppyak good point. Given that it's a Jericho feud, we need a few more stipulation driven matches, followed by Jericho winning the whole thing for some reason(?). ;)

 

Bryan winning, cutting a promo about how MJF is a fool for having already had written him off...

definitely makes a lot of sense to me

Given the shifting sands in AEW right now, even if he were right at the time I wouldn't necessarily assume the plan hasn't changed since.

Has WWE ever even used a Lucha Underground gimmick? No Puma or Killshot.

Also I think a lot of the IWC is overestimating how much people associate Kross with the name White Rabbit or just in general how many people even knew Season 4 of LU existed

 

I had no idea of the white rabbit stuff until I saw a Reddit post a couple days ago. I think I first saw Kross when he was in impact? Maybe?

 

Anything less than Bray is gonna get nuclear heat at this point lol

 

Isn't Kross like actively involved on the show currently? Why would they run a vignette for him? I don't see how it's anyone other than Bray.

 

You'll never see those gimmicks on WWE TV because they are owned by the production company that made LU along with AAA. Its why you dont see Pentagon wrestling as Pentagon Jr. or Pentagon Dark...instead he has that convoluted Penta El Zero Miedo.

I completely agree that most people wont associate Kross with that name/gimmick, but, he also wont be able to literally run it back in WWE because its surely trademarked along with The Rabbit Tribe.

 

oh I know it wouldn't literally be a LU gimmick, but just the general character. Characters like whatever MLW was doing at one point.

But looking at the LU roster there's been a lot less crossover than I thought

 

Yeah, I think its largely the guys who came into LU with their gimmicks that kept them or where its their real name. Theres a few names I'm surprised arent really signed anywhere (Dante Fox, The Mack, Son of Havoc), though the big one is Marty the Moth, but I know he was hurt for a while

 

Marty The Moth is literally exactly who I was thinking of lol I was never a huge fan of him but he seemed poised to breakout big time right before LU ended

Just watched the NXT main event between Bate and Devlin/McDonough and damn. Hell of a match.
