It's probably my second favorite on the record after the title track, but I can't fault you too much. 10 perfect songs on that album, and "Interior Decorator" is pretty good too.

    Eighth grade for me, LOL.

Yeah, I wasn't even going to respond to that post, but these three songs not being there were problems #1, #2, and #3 with it.

stay young is nice instrumentally and honestly fine vocally but it's his most embarrassing lyric writing, which is saying something.

If I think about it, I would definitely agree that his melodies are pretty great on TYFT, even if everything else about a lot of the songs are a big letdown. "Near/Far" sticks out in my head as having a great melody but musically it's boring as all hell and it's just not very exciting or good.

  5. I Dreamt We Spoke Again is probably their weakest opener imo and my least favorite on TYFT (which i think is good overall)

Also my least favorite on that record. Always felt like a false start to an album that gets much better on the next track.

All their openers are fantastic, at least since Transatlanticism. Much stronger than their closers.

Oh this is little easier than closers:

  9. IDWSA might be my favorite track on TYFT, and I love that album. Maybe I'm just a sucker for an extended tom fill

Not ranking Bend to Squares because I haven’t heard it enough and IDKHIS because it’s too new

it’s always been hard for me to see the song as the clear low point on the record like most seem to personally, largely in part to that bridge, bc I sincerely think it’s one of the best parts of the entire record
