Good Charlotte Will Release ‘Youth Authority’ in July

"Youth Authority", huh?

I used to love these guys back when I was in middle school and high school. Fell off for me after Good Morning Revival, hopefully I'll hear something from them to pull me back in.

 

Yeah, 40-year-olds naming their album Youth Authority!

 

looks like the song titles are spread throughout the cover. i like it.

 

I'll take a listen. I enjoyed that song they released a couple months ago.

 

I am cautiously optimistic about this release. Makeshift Love is the best song they have released in 10 years.

 

Really looking forward to this.. Hoping for a new single soon.

 

if Makeshift Love is any indication, I really hope YA will be a return to form.

 

pretty typical of this kind of thing. 30-year olds writing about high school. I hope the best. But I'm not in middle school.

 

I am still a little skeptical because Counting the Days off of Cardiology was pretty awesome too and that record ended up being pretty disappointing.

 

Definitely excited to see how this turns out. I'm sure it'll have some jams. Can't believe it's already been six years since their last

The album title on the artwork seems cheaply done and dated.

 

Thanks. I was pretty happy when I got it. I am a little worried that Jason won't like it and force me to change it. I would totally get it he did though. We'll see what happens.

 

Im guessing Feldmann produced this? Because I know he produced Makeshift Love.

At this point I'm just curious to see how it stacks up to Simple Plan. The other group of old folks pretending they are still in high school.

I miss the days of Benjy's spike hair and weird eye shadow trails

 

I'm hoping the rest of the album is as catchy as Makeshift Love and that they do a fall tour. If I was still going to/supporting Warped Tour I'd catch their set in a heart beat.

 

I'm optimistic for this album but that's a pretty bad title and cover artwork

 

At this point I'll take anything remotely pop/punk/rock/alternative...

 

Should be an interesting release. I think I listened to their last album once.
