Looks like Paramore is playing the Beacon Theatre in NYC

 

Chicago and Milwaukee panic at the disco shows have been postponed

 

I wonder if this is actually true, or if they’re low-key just rescheduling because of low ticket sales (because of Riot Fest)

The Beacon Theatre is an entertainment venue and former movie palace at 2124 Broadway, adjacent to the Hotel Beacon, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. Opened in 1929, the Beacon Theatre was developed by Samuel "Roxy" Rothafel and built as a movie palace, with 2,894 seats across three levels. It was designed by Walter W. Ahlschlager with decorations inspired by the Renaissance, Ancient Roman, Ancient Greek, and Rococo styles. The theater is designated as a New York City interior landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

 

While the ticket sales are definitely low, that would be a super fucked up thing to lie about. In addition, they are rescheduling, and not straight up cancelling, so I would highly doubt it’s a lie.

 

Random question, but anyone here going to Primavera Sound LA this weekend? Going tonight for NIN and wondering about the parking situation. The fest is strongly encouraging rideshare/Uber/metro, but does anyone know of any decent/walkable lots to park at in the area? Can’t seem to find a solid answer anywhere and it’s high-key stressing me out lol

 

I went yesterday. Park in china town, there’s tons of paid lots and it’s a 10 min walk from the gates

 

Q101 are announcing their holiday shows lineup this Tuesday on the Smashing Pumpkins show

Edit: the lady at their booth at RF said it will be a mix of alternative bands and heavier ones

 

Given both of their arena tour sales were somewhat soft outside of big markets, a Panic At The Disco/Twenty One Pilots co-headline summer amphitheater tour would make a ton of sense. Not sure who would close though.

 

When in doubt, switch it up each night.

 

I tried doing that but literally every lot was full :(. Did end up parking in a warehouse area right next to the fest tho which I suppose it alright

Were the TOP sales bad? I saw them in DC and it was a sold out show

 

Yeah from all accounts that I've seen that show has been selling quite well. Who's the user here who has all the show sales info? Maybe they could chip in and provide some data for it.

 

Slipknot are back to posting Knotfest flyers with Crown The Empire on them still, so it seems they might still be on the bill after all.

 

My gf and my sister saw them in Anaheim last night and from pics/videos I was sent, it looked packed

 

Yeah the TOP tour seems to be doing fine.

 

Blackbear canceled his Minnesota show an hour before doors just now. His voice was blown out. Waterparks are planning a make-up performance, and blackbear is doing an M&G.

 

When did Trash Boat go Nu Metal?

 

Has anyone seen Flor live before and do they draw a good crowd? I'd like to go see them but I'm worried this will be another quiet show and I'll be rolling solo. I have no idea what kind of draw they'll have headlining. There's a decent amount of youtube videos of their live shows, but I can't tell what's a headline set and what's an opening for a bigger band. I'll probably honestly roll the dice but any fans who have seen them headline lately or seen them open but can tell what their own draw is?

 

I wouldn't say it's nu metal (to me), but the new album is definitely different from older stuff. Personally I like a lot of it but on the other hand, I think they have always sounded like they were mimicking better bands and rarely did anything that stood out on their own. This latest album is a lesser version of nothing but thieves for the most part (with some extra heaviness thrown in).

 

They were one of the last bands I saw before the pandemic started back in 2020. They had a solid crowd for the venue and put on a great show. House of Independents holds almost 300 and was pretty close, if not, completely sold out.

 

I saw them last night and haven’t listened to the new album. But the singer had the big nu metal pants on, and the guitar player had the tucked in wifebeater shirt tucked into khakis with a backwards baseball cap.
