i know she said something about doing a deluxe CD when she releases the PD B-sides EP, but i'd kill for this on vinyl. someone on her team said it would happen, but that it's gonna take time because of production delays and costs.

this is maybe the most discussed album in the indieheads/discord community, kinda surprising to see it pretty under-discussed here

It's my album of the year by a country mile - very surprised to see the lack of debate in here

It’s great but I find myself wishing more of it sounded like American teenager

i don’t even love the album, it’s a bit of a slog despite the incredible vocals, just weird to see an album so constantly discussed in one circle get largely ignored in a similar one

As much as I love the album I do hope we get more stuff like that from her at some point. Just a perfect song.

Exactly my thoughts on it. The song American Teenager is probably my favorite song of the year, and I wish anything else on this album came close to that. The album is so haunting and great, but I agree with Phaynes it can feel a bit of a slog with its song lengths and slow burn.

There’s not a whole lot of time I return to this, but I definitely appreciate it and am glad it is being discussed at large in other places because it deserves that!

I do think the different sounds on the album fit the story being told and I've grown to love every second on here. Strangers is my favourite song, just crushes me emotionally.

I really can't wait to see what she does next, definitely my favourite music discovery of the year.

I felt the same way about the Faye Webster album from last year and the Julia Jacklin and Alex G albums from this year tbh. Some albums feel huge elsewhere but very under-discussed on here, despite feeling like they should be huge on here.

I also agree American Teenager is the best thing on here and the slow burn is a drawback to the album, or at least to me listening to this often, but it is definitely one of the more unique releases from this year and I welcome all the attention and discussion it receives here and elsewhere.

i honestly used to be annoyed by the slow burn, but it grew on me to the point where nothing feels out of place on this album anymore.
