Weezer Band

There's a thread on their new album but not an all encompassing thread for the band.

Blue Album was my first cd ever (Christmas 1994). Still one of my favorite albums ever.

Wasnt it Buddy Holly that was on the opening of Windows 95?

I had to find my old PC, and download onto my phone the blue, green, and pinkerton CDs. I cannot find them, but the songs were dropped onto the PC.

I was listening to them on the treadmill at the gym - and when 'In the Garage' came on.... brought back fond memories of the whole CD.... all 3 were pure gold.

Where did Rivers go to college? BU, BC, or Harvard? I should look it up - but you all know. I looked it up, because I forgot.

What do you think is most iconic Weezer song? I was having this discussion with my friend today when I was driving and we both said it's either My Name Is Jonas or Island In The Sun, but what does everyone else think?

Buddy Holly or Say It Ain't So.

I'm a pretty big Weezer fan and I rarely ever talk about this band so here I am. The last two records have been an absolute delight. EWBAITE feels like the successor to Pinkerton we all wanted, and White feels like Blue and Green mixed and done even better.

    Most iconic Weezer song? Hmm....

Meaning, to me: Whats the Weezer song that gets played on the radio that makes you stop changing stations, and say 'Pure Weezer':

    Buddy Holly or Sweater Song.

It depends on who you ask, what you mean by "iconic." In terms of radio hits and what most people think of when they hear the name Weezer? Probably "Buddy Holly."

What I consider to be the song that best represents them as a band? "El Scorcho." It has heartfelt lyrics, some pop-culture references, a big hook, some weirder (dare I say "quirky") moments... But at the end of the day? It's just an upbeat pop song with big guitars and sad, albeit lighthearted lyrics.

Is "Waiting on You" the best b-side ever? It might be a top 3 Weezer song for me.
