Something I do love is that since Vince has been gone wrestlers in wwe have been acknowledging aew a lot more in a positive way and it’s really cool to see.

I mean, to be kind of fair, he couldn't exactly go out there and go 5-5 with how over he was for his return. I feel like they booked it pretty well, believable wins for a guy who walked out seven years ago, and while I wasn't personally dying to see him win the title it makes complete sense to have a CM Punk summer title reign for a growing company, and almost everyone in every single crowd loved him. The bad luck was the injury right after winning, then the self implosion was the Hangman callout followed by the media scrum. Regardless of his shit lately, his matches since coming back I think elevated guys like Darby Allin, Powerhouse Hobbs, Daniel Garcia and MJF. And eventually they could have beaten him. Guess we'll never know, and it's Punk's fault.

 

It's Punk's fault but also at the end of the day he's an old dude who never took great care of his body so he is injury prone and always will be, big matches need big spots and his body can't handle the bumps anymore.

Although a lot of different interpretations of it, including that he looked as Ospreay when saying it. He definitely has the awkward sense of humour where people wouldn't all know if he was kidding or not.

 

I think it's harder to judge what ratings mean for the suspended talent who could come back anytime vs. Punk who is confirmed to be out for nearly a year (if he comes back at all).

Yeah, he deff has a weird sense of humor but that dude is as genuine and sweet as a wrestler can be. I can’t see him actually putting down wrestlers.

Seconded. They changed the business and were two of my favourites for a long time. But I'm bored of Matt's work now, and scared watching Jeff (for him and his opponents). What they were once great at has been surpassed by the wrestlers that were inspired by them, and especially seeing as Jeff has seemingly not evolved his style (or look even), I'm really not interested in more of the nostalgia act.

 

Love the Hardys but I have to agree. It was kinda sad watching Jeff wrestle the last few years. Dude always looks like he's in so much pain every time.
