No GA Live Nation venues anywhere near me but cool offering. Wonder how that effects capacity, tickets "sold", etc

Indie rock people, The Beths and Big Thief are coming to NYC on the same day in March of next year. I've seen Big Thief once at a festival and have not seen The Beths. Big Thief is playing Radio City (large 6k theater) and The Beths are playing an 1800-capacity club. Which show would you choose?

Key note about that club pass is that it's only available for "Certain" concerts (likely poor selling shows in an opportunity to get people in the door to at least blow money on concessions and merch). If it was for ALL shows, would be totally worth it.

    idk man

This is how I learned that those two shows are on the same day. Ugh.

I'm going to Big Thief for the exact opposite reason as you in that I've already seen The Beths. The Beths are a TON of fun live, and I would've loved to see them at Brooklyn Steel, plus they are going to be touring off an album that looks like it will go pretty well.

I'm also suspecting that Big Thief is going to add another show since the presale is already doing pretty well, so don't write off missing them just yet.

Chicago is only Aragon and house of blues for that club pass

Yea, way too ambiguous for me to jump on it even at $60. The other reason is that it's at the worst venue in town as far as accessibility for me goes.

I guess the club pass will pay for itself if I can get in to Alvvays and Turnover. Bonus points if the pass gets me in to see Tegan & Sara, so I'll look into the pass for sure.

this is for fillmore sf btw

    Things have changed.

Unforeseen that we couldn't sell enough tickets. Which is fine! Just a very transparent yet vague reason.

I would even say that The Aragon is too large for them to fill.

I just went to this show and it was absolutely insane here. I am a casual fan and everyone there was an absolute super fan. Someone brought a big box of finger lights (which I guess is a thing of theirs from back in the day)? and it seemed everyone but me knew every single word to every song. It was a great show to just watch the people and madness from the side.

"Most bands pay to go on tour" is really depressing. Also, from what I've read, touring Europe is much more costly since you can't work with one promoter and have to deal with logistics, taxes, customs for every country.

most of the tour is at smaller arenas and summer sheds and doesn’t seem to be having trouble drawing.
