idk why I’m reading the replies but the fucking brain worms man

 

My previous office job I got 7 paid sick days a year and lucky I had a caring dept. boss that didn’t mind me calling in sick. My job was absolutely minuscule compared to rail workers.

I guess this isn't necessarily the right place for this but this does serve as a general chat thread so I want to tell you all about my boss's recent trip to Las Vegas.

My boss (36 years old) flew from Oklahoma to Vegas this past Saturday for his British girlfriend's cousin's 40th birthday bash. The cousin and his friends flew from the UK. My boss came back into work yesterday morning and was very clearly exhausted and didn't really tell me anything about his trip.

Apparently on Tuesday (last full day there) they were hanging at the hotel pool and he didn't want to pay like $8.50 per beer, so he left, bought a liter of vodka somewhere, put it in an empty water bottle and went back to the pool. He then proceeded to drink *all* of it, and does not remember leaving the pool. He also messed up booking his hotel room, so he was going to have to crash with one of the other guys.

He said he woke up in the hotel room to a phone call Tuesday evening asking if he was coming to dinner, so he got dressed and went to dinner, then proceeded to drink all night until leaving the hotel at 8 AM Wednesday to make it to the airport.

He gets to what he thinks is his gate and then falls asleep. He wakes up when they start boarding only to find out that his correct flight had left 20 minutes earlier. He has to get on a different flight, gets back to OKC at midnight Thursday, drives to his house half an hour away, and still somehow made it to work by 8 AM Thursday.

He's insane.

 

While I'm over here having to take the day of a concert and the day after a concert off from work to rest and recharge.

I bet your boss won't be doing that shit ever again
