Also Slovenia got eliminated today. I am kind of surprised that all three of Luka, Jokic, and Giannis failed to make the semi's. I know one guy can only do so much for each team but those are three top ten (possibly top five) guys in the NBA. Wild. It's been a fun Eurobasket.

So Silver didn’t want to grow a spine and get rid of him (for whatever reason) and probably knew the report would be so damning that everyone else’s outrage would lead to people demanding Sarver resign so Silver wouldn’t have to do something that made him uncomfortable (even though getting rid of the last one with less terribleness known was possible…?)

 

I think he just legitimately fucked up. There doesn’t need to be some master plan, he thought a year would be fine and he was wrong.
