Every review I’ve seen is like

 

Players Log: Just completed Mighty Goose. Fun game but completion wise, a bit annoying. Essentially having to play through the game 4 times. I would definitely recommend picking it up if comes back to GamePass, PS Plus, etc or a sale.

can't wait to play Tears of the Kingdom at 4k 60fps no matter what Nintendo does.

Microsoft did try something very similar towards the tail end of the 360. I forgot what they called them...
I remember they didn't last long. I specifically remember being annoyed because Alan Wake had two where your Avatar could have his jacket but you could only get one from the deluxe edition, which at the time was roughly $80. So you were essentially paying for $80 for the jacket. (Although the deluxe edition was kind of cool and looked like a book)

But most could be earned by doing things in game, essentially like achievements.
