Ubi Soft is making the sequel to Valiant Hearts: The Great War exclusive to fucking Netflix.

So the future of Assassin's Creed sounds like this.

Mirage takes place in Baghdad and is a return to the previous stealth-focused AC games.

Mountain Dew: Code Red (joking, it's Codename Red) takes place in Japan and is the next RPG-style AC game.

Codename Hexe is ??? but is said to be something different for the franchise.

And Codename Jade is in China and is the next mobile entry for the series.

Infinity... I don't know what the fuck they're on about, but it sounds like it's a long ways off, whatever it is.

 

Netflix games do play really well through the app on mobile.

 

I hate when trailers like that show zero actual gameplay. I guess it’s always done that way.

 

Eldest souls was on sale for 8 bucks on the PS sale so I bought it.

It’s a soulslike boss rush game, I hear it’s really difficult.

Hexe and Red sound really cool. The former being set in a period during Witch Trials/witches. The latter because we are finally getting a Shinobi AC.

One of my favorite games ever.

 

Player's Log: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

I finally realized I can use my bluetooth headphones with my Switch, so after everyone else went to sleep, I finally dove back into Senua's Sacrifice. Just as unsettling as I remembered, but this time right in my brain, haha. I beat Valravn's Keep, and it only took me until halfway through the boss battle to remember I can slow down time. The aesthetic for this section of the game was my favorite so far, I think. Lots of wraith-raven-monsters and illusions and weird dark god effigies leading the way.

I think I'm about a third of the way through the game per the plot, which tracks with other players' average playtime. Still very much enjoying it. Schedule pending, I should finish it up sometime in the next week or so, after which I can shift back into Immortals Fenyx Rising. Good stuff.

I also three-starred the Triforce Cup on Mario Kart 8 DX after a narrow miss attempt, for which I will forever curse Waluigi's name.

The AC stuff is genuinely exciting for me, I unabashedly love that whole series and the fact that they're doing three games that are allegedly totally different is really cool. The trailer for Mirage genuinely made me nostalgic for the first game too, which I'm sure was the point
