I truly resent that I have to wait until next year to play Midnight Suns

once im all moved into my new place by sunday night i am going to game my fucking ass off for a week straight lol im so excited to have a whole separate room for my computer gaming after years of my computer being in my bedroom and having an actual living room for my (very limited) console gaming again after years of my only tv being in my bedroom lol. more space = more places to play video games

The Disgaea series is funny. You can do literal millions of points of damage and can power level by hundreds of levels lol

 

Looks like I don’t have to wait until next year after all, don’t know how I missed that before

 

probably just for the folks with the last gen consoles and the switch that have to wait til next year

Disgaea is a whole vibe, I'm pretty sure I love it.

 

DQ XI is one of the best looking games ive ever played. a masterclass in how to make a cartoony looking aesthetic still hit the mark and catch the eye in environment design.





just stunning work here. excited to see what else the game world has in store as this unfolds. im only 6 hours in.

All time great JRPG.

 

Elden Ring is the only game I've purchased (for Xbox or PS) in over a year because of Gamepass.

 

FINALLY beat Zelda: Skyward Sword. I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10.

Pros:

- I love how I could see the connections with Breath of the Wild. Lots of characters, gameplay mechanics, storyline, all tie in with BotW. Seeing the one trailer for BotW2 it seems like they could tie the three into a trilogy.
- Some good dungeons, especially loved the final one
- Good implementation of backtracking. Each "region" was significantly changed from the previous visit, yet still familiar.
- The feminine antagonist. His personality made me laugh multiple times.

Cons:
- The controls are pisspoor, fucking awful. It took me 33 hours to complete the game and I think at hour 30 I was finally accustomed to them and no longer frustrated. Just awful.
- Really long dull moments. The beginning of the game, first two-three hours, was a slog and actually put me off from playing this game for an entire year.
- The map and traversal were annoying. I wanted fast travel instead of having to fly on the bird for 5 minutes (realistically 2 minutes maybe). The map was basic and you can't zoom in or check out other regions without actually being in that specific part of a region.

Glad I played it, but even happier I finished it. No need to go back.

 

Skyward Sword has some huge things go for it but yeah those fucking controls suckkkkk


I loved some of the boss fights.
