Cutting a planned and orchestrated shoot infront of your boss without telling him, that anybody would have known would cause a gigantic headeache and overshadowed the PPV is probably 50x more unprofessional and "going into business for yourself" than anything Punk claims Hangman did.

 

CM Punk, angry that Hangman called him phony in advocating for workers rights, goes out and absolutely buries multiple coworkers...and then tries to injure other coworkers.

The layers of irony are pretty amazing

 

Funniest part of it all is that if Punk goes out, complains that the EVPs are talking to reporters and causing drama, buries Page the way he did...but never actually got into the Colt story...they'd have had a perfect build for Grand Slam. Run a tournament, Hangman has to win 2-3 matches to get in, loses to Punk, and then Punk faces MJF at Full Gear.

Though maybe Punk knowing he was hurt again just decided to go off

 

It's hilarious that he was freaking out about the Bucks leaking the Colt stuff to the dirtsheets infront of all the most prominent dirtsheet writers who are all just like "umm yeah that's not how it happened"

 

The thing though is Punk's comments have been pretty measured in these scrums and press conferences so my guess is when he told Tony what he was going to do, Tony had very little reason to think he would go full scorched earth.

 

Per Meltzer the Bucks didn't have to leak anything to him because the entire locker room knew what the deal was with Punk/Colt drama, and he said everyone in the back immediately knew what Hangman's promo was about. This wasn't some kind of thing that the Bucks had some exclusive knowledge about to share, everyone knew.

 

This caption from 21 August now seems particularly odd:

Find it very funny that Smackdown starts with a 3 on 3 tag match. Granted I’m very out of the loop but that doesn’t seem like something the E has done very often? Seems like a direct idea/concept taken from AEW’s Trios popularity?

 

WWE was putting on killer trios matches from like 2012-2015 with The Shield and The Wyatt’s

 

I feel like every raw had one of those teams and it was always awesome

 

oh ya, duh. Plus New Day too.

Makes even more bizarre that they constantly just throw two people together as a tag team with no “team name” yet they have a good history with teams of 3

 

Sheamus is really over. And a Trips guy. I wonder if he’s the one to dethrone Roman?
